I had a dream.

It was a strange dream. In it, I was quietly watching a scene as if I were watching a play.

Surprisingly, at the center of that scene was ‘me.’ ‘I’ was sitting perched atop a pile of countless books, elbow resting on a large tome, sipping tea from a teacup shaped like an inkwell.

Though the situation was clearly unreal, ‘I’ appeared perfectly composed—perhaps even enjoying it.

Was I alone? No, not at all. Someone else stood before me.

I couldn’t tell who it was. But ‘I’ and that person had exchanged many words, and not a single moment had been anything less than delightful.

The emotions ‘I’ felt were so vivid they seemed almost tangible. The scene was so lifelike I couldn’t believe it was just a dream.

It felt as though I were recalling something I’d personally experienced long ago….

Lost in thought, I heard a distant voice drifting from far away.

— …Ah!

I turned my head and looked up at the ceiling. Was someone calling me?

— Shuria!

This time, a name came with it. But Shuria? Shuria was….

‘Who was she again?’

It was definitely a familiar name.
