Asperan Loakin lay alone in a pure white room.

He clutched his somewhat dazed head and sat up. Unfamiliar white walls filled his vision. An unfamiliar space.

Why am I in a place like this?

Asperan then looked down at his attire.

He wore a thin white shirt and comfortable black trousers, over which he had draped a simple, lightweight navy robe—the exact outfit he’d changed into after finishing official duties and returning to his bedroom.

Asperan frowned slightly as he thought, There’s no way I’d have left the palace dressed like this.

But what good would it do to sit here pondering questions? Asperan let out a quiet sigh and rose from his seat, intending to investigate this place.

Asperan flicked the hem of his robe and moved to step forward—or rather, he tried to.

Until he sensed a presence behind him.

It was an astonishingly tiny, insignificant presence—so faint it was a wonder he’d noticed it at all—rushing toward him with frantic energy.

Though it felt as insubstantial as something that might blow away with a single breath, Asperan didn’t let his guard down. Still tense, he swiftly turned around.

“My liege―!”

……was Shuria, now shrunk to the size of a human head, with a 1:1 head-to-body ratio, jumping up and down while raising her arms toward the ceiling.
