I stood dumbfounded right in front of the door. Asperan gently pushed me from behind.

“It’s alright to go in.”

Only then did I hesitantly take a step forward. The moment I crossed the threshold, colorful flowers swayed gently around waist height. A sweet floral fragrance tickled my nose.

It’s a real flower garden.

Suddenly, I snapped back to my senses. I leaped up and grabbed Asperan’s sleeve.

“Where on earth is this? I opened a door inside a shop—how can there be a place like this…?”

“It’s a friend’s flower garden. That shop earlier belongs to them too. The two spaces are connected by magic.”

“Good heavens!”

I turned around to see a wooden door standing incongruously in the middle of the flower field. It truly was a bizarre sight.

‘It feels just like a dream…’

I tilted my head upward toward the sky, greeted by a vivid pink hue unlike any sunset. In that sky, devoid of both sun and moon, countless twinkling stars shone brightly.

Beneath the brightest of those stars stood a small, humble cottage. Even without explanation, I knew instantly that was our destination. We began walking toward it.

As we pushed through the multicolored blooms, someone came into view standing before the cottage door with its gray roof.

My first impression of that person was utterly shocking.

Their rich, buttercream-yellow hair, braided into a single thick plait, was so incredibly long it swayed near their ankles.
