At her low yet icy command, I briefly closed my eyes.

“Only the one who granted me the right to stay in this house may send me away.”

Judith seemed to realize my gaze would no longer waver. Like ripples disturbing a previously still lake, her next words fell sharply.

Her tone carried an unmistakable righteousness, as if the true one had arrived to drive out the impostor.

“Do you think just because you’ve completed the Prince’s manifestation and awakening, you may covet my position?”

No matter how deeply I searched within myself, the only words left were my refusal to leave and endure.

Even Sabrina’s firm voice, which had encouraged me by saying I bore no fault, failed to give me strength. My chest ached as if tears would spill the moment I let go of my resolve.
