Ji Yeon was staring blankly at the skyline of buildings visible from the rooftop, lost in thought about the weekend she’d met Kang Hyun’s friends.

Startled by a sudden voice behind her, she turned to see Chung Sik approaching with an iced coffee in hand.

She took the coffee he offered and immediately took a sip to soothe her dry throat.

“Was I smiling? No, I wasn’t. I definitely wasn’t smiling.”

“You absolutely were. You had that look like you were imagining some delicious cake and thinking, ‘Ah… that cake back then was really tasty.’”

At Chung Sik’s words, Ji Yeon burst out laughing.

“That’s such a you-like way to put it. Delicious cake… I’ll give you that—it’s in a similar category, I suppose.”

“Have you set a meeting with President Kim Ji Won?”

They’d shared the plan with both Chung Sik and Director Kim Sa Heon, since the meeting with Ji Won would clearly affect their current joint efforts.
