Ji Yeon got goosebumps at Kang Hyun’s icy expression.

“The Strategy Planning Team exists to devise strategies and make plans—not to spoon-feed the Sales Department. It’s your own responsibility to properly digest the well-prepared materials we provide. Do you really expect us to chew every bite of rice from the table we set and shove it down your throat, Senior Executive Cha Min Woo?”

“What are you talking about? If you’re the one leading this project, you should present materials clear enough to be understood right away.”

Min Woo shrugged his shoulders smugly, as if he’d just hit the nail on the head.

“You haven’t even properly looked at the materials yet, yet you claim you don’t understand them. And even after seeing these clearly summarized documents, you still can’t grasp them at once. Doesn’t that mean your focus and comprehension are seriously lacking? Maybe you should reflect on that seriously.”

“What… what did you say?”

Seemingly flaring up instantly at Kang Hyun’s words, Cha Min Woo stood up abruptly from his seat, slipping into informal speech without realizing it.

“Please sit down, Senior Executive Cha Min Woo.”

Kang Hyun waited for Min Woo to sit back down, staring at him with cold eyes, before continuing.

“The Strategy Planning Team collaborates with the Sales Department—we’re not subordinate to you. Moreover, I’m not a team member who reports to you, Senior Executive Cha Min Woo.”

Kang Hyun fixed Min Woo with a contemptuous gaze and went on.

“Did you even know this meeting was meant to share the mid-stage planning progress? Yet, even though it’s led by the planning team, you came completely empty-handed, sitting there as if you were just waiting to receive a report. If I were in your position, I’d have at least brought recent sales results or analyses comparing other brands, to share how they could support the planning process.”

He swept his eyes quickly over the other Sales Department attendees before locking his gaze back on Min Woo.

“Do you even understand why leadership matters? Because every single action and word from a leader sweeps their team along—and the team ends up mirrored after them. Seeing the Sales Department today, all acting just like you, Senior Executive Cha, isn’t just disappointing as a collaborating department—it’s honestly unsettling.”

Kang Hyun closed his laptop, which had been open for the presentation, and addressed each attendee with deliberate eye contact.
