David's Husband (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 28

“I’ll do it.”

Ha Yeon barely managed to reply before taking the dish back from Min Je’s hand—and in doing so, their hands brushed again.

Feeling her heart pound—thump, thump—Ha Yeon scoffed inwardly. *What am I even doing?* She’d only come to wash dishes, yet somehow kept ending up in unintended physical contact.

“You sure?”

Min Je grinned and handed her the dish. It was absurd—the moment before, he’d insisted on doing it alone, yet now readily agreed to let her take over—so Ha Yeon chuckled involuntarily.

What’s more, when Min Je began humming a tune while washing the dishes, Ha Yeon stared blankly at him for a while before finally letting out a soft laugh. Seeing her smile, Min Je’s own lips curled upward as well.

Only after they finished washing and tidying up did Jun Won and Ji Hoo return. Sensing something noteworthy might have happened in their absence, the two silently observed Min Je and Ha Yeon’s behavior.

“Ah, I guarantee you—nothing happened at all.”

Jun Won whispered to Ji Hoo, his expression thoroughly deflated.

“Even though we went all the way out there, enduring that grueling trip?”

Ji Hoo shook his head, refusing to believe it. Jun Won looked at him with a pitiful expression. His son clearly believed his father was the best person in the world—but the problem was, even the mighty Kang Min Jae was completely inept when it came to romance.

“It looks like this might take quite a while.”

When Jun Won whispered again to Ji Hoo, the boy, refusing to give up, steeled his resolve to help in any way he could.

Watching Jun Won and Ji Hoo whispering repeatedly into each other’s ears, Ha Yeon thought:

*No matter when I see them, their bond is always so strong.*
