It was Saturday.

Exhausted from the department dinner that had gone on until midnight the previous night, Lee I Na slept like the dead and didn’t open her eyes until nearly 10 a.m.

After hastily fixing herself some breakfast, she flung open the windows and thoroughly cleaned every nook and cranny of her apartment.

After an hour of deep cleaning, a completely drained Lee I Na poured herself a cold cup of coffee and sank onto the sofa.

While blankly watching TV and sipping her coffee, she checked the time and then got up to head to the bathroom.

By the time she finished a quick shower, it was already 1 p.m.

After drying her hair, she sat at her vanity, did her makeup, and then opened her earring case.

As she browsed the various earrings, her eyes landed on the two pairs Joo Won had bought her in Samcheong-dong.

Reaching out to touch them, memories of that day floated gently into her mind.

She remembered how she’d practically nestled into Joo Won’s arms, her heart pounding wildly and her face burning red as if set ablaze.

Just recalling those moments made Lee I Na’s cheeks flush again.

Shaking her head quickly, she put down the earrings in her hand and picked up a pair of pearl ones instead.

For some reason, she felt she should only wear the earrings Joo Won had given her when she met him again.

Almost finished getting ready to leave after putting on the pearl earrings, Lee I Na’s phone rang.

Glancing quickly at the screen, she saw it was Si Woo.
