Date Me! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 15
“Hello?”
Lee I Na, holding two bags each filled with twisted doughnuts, greeted Joo Hee’s mother.
“Oh. Yeah. I Na, you’re here?”
“Yes.”
“Joo Hee’s in the shower right now—want to go into her room and wait?”
“Yes. Ah—here, I brought some twisted doughnuts. Please have some.”
When Lee I Na held out one of the doughnut bags, Joo Hee’s mom smiled and peeked inside.
“You bought a lot.”
“Yes. This place makes them super delicious. Please try some.”
“Okay. I’ll enjoy them. Thank you.”
Joo Hee’s mom placed the doughnut bag on the dining table.
“Stay and have dinner before you go, alright?”
“Yes! You know I absolutely love the food at your house, right? Hehehe.”
Joo Hee’s mom smiled fondly, finding Lee I Na’s mischievous grin endearing.
Imagining the delicious dinner ahead, Lee I Na hummed a cheerful tune as she headed upstairs.
As she pulled out a doughnut from the bag and walked toward Joo Hee’s room, she heard a strange noise coming from Joo Won’s room across the hall.
“Huh? What’s that sound?”
Drawn by the noise, Lee I Na stepped up to Joo Won’s door—and the sound grew louder.
Pressing her ear to the door, she heard bizarre monster-like noises mixed with people screaming.
Her eyes widened as she pressed her ear closer, then—overcome by curiosity—she knocked.
But there was no response; only the screams continued to echo from inside.
Knowing Joo Won was a horror fan, Lee I Na guessed he was watching something scary and knocked a little louder out of curiosity.
After a moment, the screaming stopped, and the door swung open abruptly.
Joo Won frowned as he looked down at the uninvited guest at his door.
“What?”
Startled by Joo Won’s cold expression, Lee I Na gave an awkward smile and waved.
“Hehe. Hi? Handsome Joo Won?”
Instead of answering, Joo Won just scowled, staring down at her silently.
His eyes seemed to say: “Who do you think you are to interrupt my personal time?”
Lee I Na flinched slightly, but her unresolved curiosity made her poke her head forward to peek into his room.
However, Joo Won’s tall frame blocked her view completely.
“What do you want?”
Joo Won asked, his frown still firmly in place.
“Uh… I just heard something really interesting coming from your room…”
“Interesting sound?”
Joo Won narrowed his eyes as he spoke.
“Yeah. It felt like you were watching a super fun horror movie.”
Joo Won gave her a look that clearly said, “Really?” before opening his mouth.
“So what?”
“Huh?”
“I’m asking what you actually want to say.”
“Uh… I was just curious about what you’re watching.”
“Zombie stuff.”
“Zombie stuff?”
“Yeah.”
“Wow, really? I love zombie stuff too! What are you watching? What’s the title?”
Just then, the bathroom door opened and Joo Hee stepped out.
“Huh? I Na? When did you get here?”
Toweling her hair dry, Joo Hee asked when she saw Lee I Na.
“Me? Just now.”
Trending
“But what are you doing talking to Joo Won?”
Before Lee I Na could answer, Joo Won spoke up.
“Do I look like I’m having a conversation?”
“Then what is it?”
“Your friend is unilaterally interrupting my time.”
“Seriously?”
As Joo Hee spoke, she grabbed her towel and tossed it—only for it to land squarely on Lee I Na’s head, covering her face.
Joo Won let out an amused snort at the sight, while Joo Hee quickly rushed over to pull the towel off Lee I Na’s face.
“Are you okay?”
Joo Hee asked with an apologetic look, but Lee I Na just pressed her nose against Joo Hee’s damp hair and sniffed.
“What shampoo are you using? It smells amazing.”
“This? It’s a new strawberry-scented one. Smells good, right?”
Watching them, Joo Won uncrossed his arms and spoke.
“You really have trouble focusing, don’t you?”
“Huh?”
When Lee I Na turned to look at him, Joo Won gripped his door and said,
“Now go hang out with Joo Hee and don’t bother me.”
After the door slammed shut—and the sound of the lock clicking followed—Lee I Na made a sullen face.
“What’s wrong? What were you talking to Joo Won about?”
“Uh… I thought he was watching something fun in his room, so I asked what the title was.”
“Fun? He only ever watches brutal stuff with blood and people dying!”
“I like that too. That kind of thing.”
“Whoa.”
Joo Hee stared at Lee I Na with wide eyes.
“You like horror?”
“Yeah. I’m totally a horror maniac—especially zombie stuff.”
“Whoa. No way! Our tastes are complete opposites!”
“You don’t like it?”
“I hate it. Blood and scary stuff? Absolutely not. I never watch it.”
“Really? Then we’ll never watch horror together. But later, ask Joo Won what he’s watching and tell me the title, okay?”
“Such weird taste. Fine, I got it.”
Lee I Na cast one last wistful glance at Joo Won’s door before heading into Joo Hee’s room with her.
That night, after returning home, Lee I Na immediately searched for the drama Joo Hee told her about and downloaded it at lightning speed.
Once she confirmed her parents were asleep, she lay in bed, put on her earphones, and started watching.
From the very first episode, the drama was packed with intense, gripping scenes—it was so good she couldn’t look away for even a second.
By the time she finished episode two, it was already past midnight.
“Wow. This is totally my style! How am I supposed to wait until episode three comes out?”
Lying in bed, Lee I Na clicked her tongue regretfully, completely smitten with the drama.
Three days later, on Saturday, Lee I Na visited Joo Hee’s house again to study together.
“Go on up first? I’ll bring some drinks up shortly.”
As Joo Hee said this, Lee I Na headed upstairs—but as she passed Joo Won’s room, she hesitantly pressed her ear to his door just in case.
Hearing nothing from inside, she quietly knocked.
After a moment, Joo Won opened the door, spotted her, and asked in a stiff tone,
“What? Again?”
“Joo Won! Hi! Have you been well?”
“Isn’t it way too soon to ask that?”
As expected, instead of a warm greeting, Joo Won shot back sharply. Lee I Na responded by lifting up a bag stuffed with snacks.
“I bought lots of snacks—wanna share?”
“You’ve been coming over pretty often lately. Punching a time card at our house now?”
Meeting his question with another question, Lee I Na smiled and replied,

“Joo Hee and I are besties! And, well… I come partly to see your handsome face too. Hehehe.”
As if he’d heard enough, Joo Won started to close the door—but Lee I Na quickly stuck her foot out to block it.
“What are you doing?”
Joo Won frowned, looking down at the small foot blocking his door.
“Hey, Joo Won… you have that huge, high-spec monitor in your room, right?”
“So?”
“Have you watched part three of that zombie show yet?”
“Not yet.”
“Then… could we watch it together later?”
“Why would I?”
His sharp, dismissive reply made Lee I Na flinch—but she quickly recovered and grinned again.
“My screen’s way too small, and I have to sneak around with earphones so Mom won’t hear—it just ruins the experience. Besides, we’ve never really hung out before. Watching a drama together sounds like a good chance to get closer!”
“Why would I?”
His reply, as robotic as a recording, left Lee I Na stammering “Uh…” as she scrambled for words—just as Joo Hee came up the stairs and saw them.
“Huh? I Na? Why are you talking to Joo Won again?”
Joo Won shot Joo Hee a sharp glance, as if she’d called him a virus.
“Didn’t I already say? Your friend is unilaterally interrupting my time.”
“Seriously! Why do you keep saying that to my friend?”
Joo Hee, forgetting she was holding a tray with juice glasses, stomped forward angrily.
The two glasses wobbled violently and crashed to the floor with a loud clatter—as if screaming—and a small shard flew up, grazing Lee I Na’s cheek.
“Yowch!”
Before Lee I Na could even react, Joo Won grabbed her wrist.
“Oh no! Are you okay?”
Startled, Joo Heed stared at Lee I Na with wide eyes as Joo Won bent down to inspect her cheek.
A small cut had appeared, with a tiny bead of blood forming.
“Oh no! It’s bleeding! I don’t know what to do!!”
Joo Hee shrieked so loudly even crows would’ve cried, prompting Joo Won to frown.
“Stop screaming and clean this up quickly. It’s dangerous.”
He then pulled Lee I Na by the wrist into the living room.
Still dazed from being dragged along, Lee I Na stood awkwardly until Joo Won pointed to the sofa and went to fetch the first aid kit.
As he opened the kit and took out ointment and a cotton swab, Lee I Na spoke up.
“Um… it was just a light scratch. I don’t think I really need ointment…”
Without answering, Joo Won just looked at her while applying ointment to the swab.
“Aren’t you a girl? It’s a cut on your face. Plus, your skin’s as pale as rice cake—any mark shows up clearly.”
“Rice cake? I love rice cake though…”
Joo Won let out a small sigh.
“You really have zero concentration, huh?”
“Hehe. I hear that a lot.”
Shaking his head, Joo Won leaned closer and gently dabbed the ointment onto her cheek.
Lee I Na, face-to-face with him, unknowingly stared right into his eyes.
“Wow. His skin is unreal. Is he really a middle school boy? How does he not have a single pimple?”
The moment Joo Won finished applying the ointment, he met her intense gaze and sharply looked away.
“Why are you staring so hard?”
When Joo Won spoke through gritted teeth, Lee I Na slowly raised her hand and gently patted his porcelain-smooth cheek.
Startled by the sudden touch, Joo Won’s eyes flickered.
“You… your skin is seriously amazing. How can a guy have skin this good? What lotion do you use?”
Of all the things to say when their faces were this close—asking about his lotion?
Joo Won’s eyebrows shot up like seagull wings as he abruptly stood up.
“Put on the bandage yourself.”
He tossed a bandage onto Lee I Na’s lap and turned to leave—but Lee I Na suddenly grabbed his pant leg.

Whirling around at this unexpected move, Joo Won glared—but Lee I Na looked up at him with the sweetest, most kitten-like expression.
“What?”
Joo Won snapped irritably, and Lee I Na pointed to her wounded cheek with a pleading look.
“Joo Won… I got hurt. Don’t you feel even a little sorry for me? Can’t we just watch part three together? I promise I won’t make a peep—just sit quietly. Okay?”
Joo Won closed his eyes, took a deep breath, then opened them to look at her again.
Lee I Na gazed back with even more longing in her warm brown eyes, shimmering brightly.
After a brief internal struggle, Joo Won seemed to reach a decision as he looked at her and said,
“…Be in my room at 3. But not a single word—and no snacks.”
“But I bought so many snacks!”
Seeing Joo Won’s eyes narrow sharply, Lee I Na instantly saluted and replied,
“Understood! No snacks! I’ll sit there like a ghost—completely silent!”
Instead of answering, Joo Won just shot her one last displeased glance before leaving the living room.
The moment he was gone, Lee I Na jumped up and did a joyful hula dance.
And so, from that day on, Joo Won and Lee I Na began watching zombie dramas together.
Male lead is a Divorced Husband
She said to him: “Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change it!”

Liu Changning transmigrated into a female cannon fodder character in a female-dominant novel.
After reading the first half of the novel’s plot, the first thing she did upon transmigration was to divorce the Pan Jinlian-style male protagonist she had just married.
She indulged herself, pretending to be ugly and poor.
But as time passed, the way that man looked at her became more and more unusual…
Liu Changning was dumbfounded: Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change!
――
This lifetime, Pei Yuanshao was rejected by the same woman twice!
The first time, she drove him away. Forced by the situation, he endured the waves of anger in his heart, yielding and humbling himself.
That person lay slanted on a rocking chair, her sallow face emotionless: “If you don’t want a divorce, go cook!”
Pei Yuanshao’s face was dark and gloomy: “You!”
The second time, after the crisis in Jinling City was resolved, the new emperor sent someone to pick him up. He turned around, stammering: “I… I have to go. If you keep me…”
That person lay on the kang bed, her back to him, as if she had long anticipated this day, crisp and clear: “Goodbye!”
Pei Yuanshao was so angry his fingers trembled: “You… you!”
The mission of family and country made him restrain himself, averting his eyes and turning to leave this broken household.
Two years later, they met again. Seeing her ethereal face, his body shook like a sieve.
“She was originally a ‘she’!”
At the Qionglin Banquet, the top scholar of the imperial examination, a talented person with exceptional speech and conduct, all the unmarried young gentlemen from aristocratic families looked at her with shy and timid eyes.
The peerless imperial official Pei Yuanshao felt the anger in his heart erupt. He pointed at the woman surrounded by the crowd at the Qionglin Banquet, his thin lips slightly curled: “Little sister, I wants that person to be the wife-master of my Mingde Prince Manor.”
