The taxi soon entered the neighborhood where Ina lived.
As a convenience store near Ina’s villa came into view, Ina asked the driver to stop there.
When the taxi stopped in front of the convenience store, Ina reached for her wallet, but Juwon offered his card instead.
“Oh? No, I’ll pay. And you need to go on, right?”
“It’s okay.”
Juwon replied briefly, took the card from the driver, and opened the taxi door.
Juwon, who got out first, held the taxi door and looked at Ina, who got out of the taxi, bewildered.
As soon as the taxi left, Ina looked up at Juwon.
“Why did you get out? You need to catch another taxi.”
“I can catch a taxi easily. It’s nothing.”

Juwon responded nonchalantly and then looked at the convenience store in front of him.
“Just wait a moment.”
Then Juwon entered the convenience store and came out shortly with a black plastic bag.
“Here.”
When Juwon offered the bag, Ina tilted her head and took it.
Inside the bag were a hangover cure, an electrolyte drink, and ice cream.
“Uh… why did you buy so much? I feel bad.”
“It’s nothing. Drink the hangover cure before you sleep, in case your head hurts.”
Grateful for his thoughtful care, Ina was about to thank him when she quietly looked at the mango ice cream in the bag.
It was the ice cream Ina used to eat every day in middle school.

“This is my favorite ice cream… How do you remember?”
“I had to remember. Every time you came to my house, you brought a lot of these.”
Ina laughed at Juwon’s words.
“Right. I did.”
Memories surfaced, and Ina smiled.
Looking up at Juwon, about to thank him, she felt a tickling in her heart.
“Thank you. I’ll enjoy it. But today, I just keep receiving from you?”
“It’s nothing big. Let’s go. Where’s your house?”
Juwon asked, hands in his pocket, and Ina pointed ahead.
“Go that way and turn right, and you’ll see it.”

Juwon nodded and gestured to go.
Ina, holding the black plastic bag, started walking, and Juwon matched his steps with hers.
Walking side by side with Juwon in the chilly night air of October felt strange.
It seemed she had never walked alone with Juwon when they were middle school students…
No, they had never been alone together at all…
Yet, 13 years later, walking together as adults, she felt an indescribable, strange feeling.
Juwon, too, walked in silence, his face deep in thought.
After about 5 minutes of walking side by side, they reached the villa where Ina lived.
“Here.”
Ina stood in front of the villa and spoke, and Juwon looked up at the building.

“Which floor?”
“Third.”
Juwon nodded and looked down at Ina.
“Alright. Then. You must be tired, so go in quickly.”
“Yeah. You must be tired too, from driving me. Thanks for everything today.”
Instead of replying, Juwon gazed at Ina and then spoke.
“Don’t overthink and just sleep well, okay?”
“Huh? Yeah… I should.”
“Then go in, and if anything happens tomorrow, call me right away.”
“Something?”

“If he comes looking or causes trouble, call me.”
“Oh. I plan to sleep at a friend’s house tomorrow. Just in case.”
“That’s better. Sleep at your friend’s house tomorrow, and if anything happens, call me immediately. Got it?”
Ina looked up at Juwon’s serious face and nodded.
“Okay. Thanks.”
“Alright. Then, go inside quickly. Sleep well and see you on Monday. I’ll call you when I leave work.”
“Okay. Got it. You also take care.”
As Ina waved her hand, Juwon gestured for her to go inside first.
“I’ll wait until you go in.”
Hesitating for a moment at Juwon’s words, Ina nodded and then turned around to slowly walk away.
Just as she was about to enter the main gate, Juwon called out, “Seo Ina.”

Turning around, Ina saw Juwon silently looking at her before he spoke.
“I’m really glad… that we met again.”
At his words, Ina looked intently at Juwon and then smiled faintly.
“Yeah. Me too, I’m really glad.”
Juwon smiled and gestured for her to go inside.
Ina waved once more and then entered the villa’s main gate.
Juwon, standing a few steps away and looking up at the villa, only moved after confirming that the lights were on in the third floor.
Waking up past 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, Ina opened the window, breathed in the fresh air, and checked her phone.
Having blocked calls, texts, and messages from Junghoon, there were no contacts from him, but there were three unknown numbers.
It was obviously Junghoon.

Sighing deeply, Ina put down her phone and walked to the kitchen.
After drinking cold water from the fridge and tying her hair tightly, she started cleaning.
Vacuuming and cleaning the bathroom, then removing the bed sheets for laundry, it was already 11:30.
After making toast and brewing coffee, Ina sat at the table and looked at her phone.
Staring at the number Juwon had given her for Juhee, she took a deep breath and nervously pressed the number.
As the ringing started, Ina’s heart began to pound.
Will Juhee recognize my voice? Will she be glad to hear from me? Will she resent me for not contacting her all this time?
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
