“But it was a bit embarrassing, right?”
Ina said this as she skillfully picked up a well-cooked beef rib and began making a special wrap.
Juwon watched her make a rather large wrap.
“Will that even fit in your mouth?”
“This? It’s not for me. It’s for you.”
“For me?”
“Yes. Since you’ve taken your precious time to drive me home, I should at least make you a wrap.”
Ina finished making the wrap neatly and offered it to Juwon.
Juwon silently looked at the wrap and then reached out his hand.
“Alright. Thank you. I’ll enjoy it.”
Juwon took the wrap and put it into his mouth, savoring the taste.
Then, he nodded.
“Yeah. It’s delicious.”
“Right? Tasty, isn’t it?”
Juwon nodded and, as if to return the favor, picked up a lettuce leaf.
He then dipped a piece of meat in the sauce and placed it on the lettuce.
Watching him, Ina crossed her arms and asked,
“Are you making that wrap for me?”
“Yes.”
Ina added a comment seeing the size of the wrap, which was only half the size of the one she made.
“Then put another piece of meat in it and add more onion slices.”
Juwon, just as he was about to add the onion slices, looked up at Ina.
“One more?”
“Yes. Make it a big one.”
Juwon chuckled and picked up the largest piece of meat.
He carefully wrapped it and offered it to Ina.
“Thank you.”
Ina happily accepted the wrap and bit into it, her cheeks puffing up.
The sight of her small mouth munching on the large wrap reminded Juwon of a squirrel with bulging cheeks.
Seeing her look like a squirrel stuffing its cheeks with acorns, Juwon couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
“Why are you laughing?”
Ina asked, tilting her head in confusion.
“Huh? No, it’s nothing. Keep eating.”
Juwon smiled and placed another piece of meat on Ina’s plate.
Two hours later.
The two, having enjoyed their meal, got up from their seats, and Ina took care of the bill.
“I had a great meal. It feels like too much for a Monday.”
“No, it’s nothing like that. As long as you enjoyed the meal, that’s what matters.”
Ina responded with a beaming smile.
“But you eat a lot more than I thought.”
“Of course. Didn’t I tell you that my favorite thing is eating delicious food?”
“Hmm.”
Juwon crossed his arms and looked at Ina as if observing her.
“But aren’t you too slim compared to how much you eat?”
Surprised by Juwon’s comment, Ina blinked and looked up at him.
“Why?”
Juwon asked, and Ina motioned for him to lean in closer.
As he leaned in, Ina whispered softly,
“Women’s bodies aren’t all about what’s visible. Men don’t know about… the subtly accumulated fats hidden here and there.”
Whispering as if she were sharing a state secret, Ina had Juwon turn his head and look at her.
Ina’s dark brown eyes sparkled seriously as she looked up at Juwon.
Juwon, struggling to hold back his laughter, covered his mouth with his hand and nodded.
“I see. Men don’t know about… the subtly accumulated fats hidden here and there.”
Juwon replied seriously, and Ina also nodded solemnly.
“Yes. So, what you see isn’t everything.”
Juwon nodded again, but a laugh escaped him.
Quickly covering his mouth, he turned his head to the side and let out his laughter.
Then, he composed himself and asked Ina,
“Shall we head home now? It’s Monday, after all. You should get some rest.”
“Yeah. Let’s do that. You should go home and rest too.”
Shortly after, the driver Juwon had called arrived, and the two got into the car.
Soon, Juwon’s car approached the villa where Ina lived.
Silently looking ahead, Ina suddenly frowned.
She had spotted Jung-hoon’s car parked in front of the villa.
“He really is crazy…”
Hearing Ina’s comment, Juwon was about to ask what was wrong when Jung-hoon emerged from his car.
Juwon’s expression instantly turned cold upon seeing Jung-hoon.
As Ina unbuckled her seatbelt and was about to open the door, Juwon reached out and grabbed her hand.
“Wait a moment.”
Then, he paid the driver, adding a little extra, and asked him to stop there.
After the driver left, Juwon got out first and then opened the door on Ina’s side.
“Uh? Oh. Thanks.”
Ina got out, somewhat dazed, as Jung-hoon approached with a furious glare.
Jung-hoon, red-faced with anger, stared down the two of them.
“Hey! Seo Ina! You’re still playing dumb with this guy? You called him that day, didn’t you? Huh?”
Juwon stepped forward assertively, confronting Jung-hoon.
“Whether it’s today or that day, you really need to learn to watch your mouth.”
Jung-hoon glared as Juwon spoke to him with a biting tone.
“What? What are you talking about?”
Jung-hoon, looking ready to throw a punch, was quickly blocked by Ina stepping in front of Juwon.
Jung-hoon then glared at Ina with a menacing expression.
“Hey! What are you doing now? What, now that you’ve been caught cheating, you’re just going all out? Hey! You’ve been two-timing all along, haven’t you? Tell me! When did you start seeing this guy? Huh?”
At Jung-hoon’s tirade, Juwon was about to reach out when suddenly Ina raised her hand and slapped Jung-hoon’s cheek.
Jung-hoon’s head whipped to the side, and Juwon looked at Ina with surprised eyes.
Jung-hoon, with a dazed expression, touched his left cheek and then stared at Ina.
“You just… hit me?”
His eyes blazing, Jung-hoon asked.
“Yes! I hit you! I couldn’t stand the vile words spewing from your filthy mouth! What are you going to do about it?”
Ina yelled with a voice filled with rage.
Jung-hoon trembled, his lips quivering, with a look of disbelief.
