Created a Reverse Harem in a Doomed World (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 1
The long-awaited wedding day had finally arrived.
‘Well, I’m not the bride, after all.’
Early in the morning, bright sunshine and a ticklish breeze slipped through the open window, making the white silk curtains dance. Seeing this, I hummed a cheerful tune, which startled my personal maid, Rina.
“Um… Miss. Did I do something wrong?”
Rina, gathering her courage to ask, trembled like a baby bird facing a viper. The rag in her hand was wrung so tightly that water pooled on the floor—apparently, I was pure terror incarnate.
“No. I’m actually in a really good mood.”
Normally, I would’ve coldly replied with just “No,” to uphold my villainess image, and punished Rina for daring to speak to her employer first without proper decorum.
‘But I couldn’t care less about that villainess image anymore!’
Because today, I’d finally escape this damn original story and return home.
The original story’s conclusion was right around the corner—the wedding day, when the female and male leads confirm the fruit of their love, was happening today.
‘As the villainess who failed to win love, I’m supposed to attend that wedding.’
Logically, I should’ve been in a foul mood, but since I wasn’t truly a villainess, I was nothing but happy.
Farewell, days of scorn and icy stares in this reverse harem novel. Meeting the male lead candidates was truly disgusting—let’s never meet again.
Seeing me unable to suppress my twitching smile, Rina muttered quietly.
“Miss must have finally gone mad with jealousy…”
I heard every word. Villainesses apparently have unnecessarily sharp hearing, too.
And Rina’s discipline had clearly slipped.
“What did I do?”
I’d merely flicked my eyes upward once, pretending to be displeased, yet Rina turned pale and even started crying.
“A-ah, nothing at all! I’m sorry!”
“Good. That’s how it should be.”
I wasn’t crazy. Just crazily happy, that’s all.
Accepting Rina’s suspiciously watchful assistance, I finished preparing to head to the female lead’s wedding venue.
Since I considered this my last day, even Elisabeth’s face—whom I’d grown tired of seeing daily—looked simply beautiful today.
Her straight, shimmering silver hair. Her violet eyes, dazzling like amethysts kissed by sunlight. And her feline, aloof eyes drawn upon skin as white as milk.
“Goodbye, pretty villainess sister.”
Dobby is off to find freedom.
Noticing my obvious delight, Rina asked cautiously.
“Um… are you really going like that?”
“Yeah. Why? Is there a problem?”
“Ah, no… not at all…”
With a black veil and a hat adorned with glossy crow feathers, plus a pitch-black dress enveloping my skin from neck to toe, I looked as if I were heading to a funeral. After all, this was the dress Elisabeth, the villainess, wore in the original story’s finale.
‘If Duke Keaton, Elisabeth’s father, saw me, he’d faint—but since Elisabeth is currently under house arrest, covering for someone else’s accident, I won’t run into him anyway. So who cares?’
I felt satisfied looking at the dress—though black, it retained its splendor through exquisite silk and black pearls.
Goodbye, Elisabeth Keaton. Today marks the end of us.
“Good work. You may go now, Rina.”
“Yes….”
No matter how luxurious, a black dress resembling mourning attire wasn’t exactly welcome at a wedding. Seeming troubled by this, Rina hesitated for a long while before fleeing the room as if running away.
Great. I’m finally alone!
Confirming no one was left in the room, I rolled around on the bed without caring if my clothes got wrinkled.
“Home! I’m going home!”
After humming a cheerful “lululala,” I called out to someone.
“Zero, once this is over, I can really go back home, right?”
“How many times do I have to tell you? Yes!”
At my question, a yellow fluffball resembling a clump of dust appeared in midair. Or more precisely, Zero—a plump, golden hamster with stubby limbs, perky ears, and a delightfully round, fluffy body.
Though dressed formally like a doll, he was actually an assistant named NO.00000234232, dispatched from the Possession Management Bureau to help me.
“And I told you not to call me Zero!”
“Whatever. Your ID number’s too long. What’s wrong with just calling you Zero?”
“Selfish human!”
“So what? You won’t see this face again after today anyway. Stare your fill.”

“Hmph.”
According to Zero, every story creates its own dimension upon birth, and each dimension has a manager to ensure it runs properly. Zero was one of the beings serving the manager of the dimension I currently belonged to.
Unfortunately, this world’s manager was a rookie who’d accidentally possessed me into this dimension—this novel—by mistake. Thus, Zero became the sole employee of the newly established Possession Management Bureau and was assigned to stay by my side under the special order of “ensuring the original story concludes safely.”
At the time, I’d been reading a reverse harem novel titled “Siena Walks Only Flower Paths,” when suddenly, while eating ramen, I was possessed into Elisabeth, the novel’s villainess, and panicked.
“Ahem. Human, don’t worry so much. This NO.00000234232 will help you return home.”
For a brief moment, Zero, who’d suddenly appeared offering help, seemed like a savior—but I quickly realized this clumsy hamster was a fraud!
“Of course, on the condition that you perfectly play the role of villainess Elisabeth and safely conclude the story.”
Why should I be the one to safely conclude the story when it was their own manager’s mistake?
And they tried to persuade me with such an unappealing condition—that playing Elisabeth, the daughter of the wealthy Duke Keaton, wouldn’t be difficult at all!
So I made up my mind. If this was my only way home, I’d squeeze every last drop out of this error-prone manager and his sloppy employee!
“When the story ends safely, you can return home. And I’ll have successfully covered up my boss Manager’s mistake.”
〈…But the villainess always meets a tragic end. What about that?〉
“In ‘Siena Walks Only Flower Paths,’ Elisabeth’s ending is simply running away tearfully from the female lead’s wedding. You won’t die, so rest easy.”
〈What about compensation for damages beyond that?〉
“Uh… huh?”
〈If you possessed the wrong person, shouldn’t you take responsibility?〉
“W-well, our Possession Management Bureau doesn’t have an insurance policy for compensation in the manual…”
〈Then create one. I’m clearly the victim here, aren’t I?〉
Growling threateningly, I made Zero whimper before he placed a call to his manager and then spoke in a hollow, soulless voice.
“He’s asking… if winning the lottery would settle it…”
〈Okay, deal!〉
‘I ran all the way here believing that promise.’
All the hardships I endured as a villainess were merely painful trials leading to today. After resisting the temptation to overturn the original story countless times and perfectly acting as villainess Elisabeth, I now stood on the brink of liberation.
“Let’s go, Zero. To the wedding venue of the female and male leads, who’ll send me home.”
Cozy home, lottery—I’m coming!
“Yay, Possessor Lord!”
I truly believed I could sincerely congratulate them at their wedding. If asked to shed tears of joy, I’d gladly do it.
But I never expected this.
That the female lead would ruin everything at the last moment…
No— that a zombie virus would be waiting for me.
Since the final male lead of “S. Flower. Path.” was the Crown Prince, the wedding took place in the palace’s grand banquet hall, supported by majestic stone pillars and adorned with lavish ceiling frescoes.
The beautiful female lead in a pure white wedding gown and the handsome male lead in an elegant tuxedo smiled brightly at each other.
The corridor leading to the wedding venue was decorated with lilies, symbolizing the bride’s purity and beauty. Deep pink ribbons tied here and there, as if to prove their passionate love, were utterly adorable.
In a space filled entirely with pristine white, I stood out sharply as the only one clad in gloomy black.
“Th-that…!”
A noble passed by, clicking his tongue at my funeral-like appearance. Wearing a black veil only justified his misunderstanding, but I coolly ignored him.
Because today, I was exceptionally generous.
‘I almost feel like giving a wedding gift.’
But I refrained, fearing it might be misinterpreted as hastening the death of the female lead, Siena. Besides, such an action didn’t happen in the original story either.
“Shortly, we shall commence His Highness the Crown Prince’s wedding ceremony.”
Musicians emerged and played a grand melody. Instantly, the guests’ atmosphere turned solemn.
I sat in the farthest corner of the guest seating reserved for invited nobles and clapped enthusiastically. The nobles around me stared as if I were insane, but I didn’t care.
‘Hurry up and end.’
I wanted to return home quickly. I craved tteokbokki and ramen—the kind that stirs a Korean soul. I was tired of Western food. I missed the spicy kick that tingled my tongue. And I had to go claim my lottery winnings.
After the priest’s lengthy wedding declaration—reminiscent of a headmaster’s tedious lecture—the long-awaited question finally came.
“Do the bride and groom vow to love each other forever?”
“I do.”
“I do as well.”
“Excellent. Then please seal your vow with a kiss of love.”
‘Yeehaw!’

I was overjoyed. Zero said the portal home would open as soon as that kiss ended.
Kiss! Kiss!
‘Please, just kiss already! I need to go eat!’
A wedding reception? I didn’t need any of that. The best thing would be lying comfortably at home, waiting for delivered tteokbokki, and rolling around until my cup ramen finished cooking.
As I waited with a pounding heart for their kiss, an unexpected event occurred.
The moment they tilted their heads to meet lips, the female lead’s eyes turned bright red.

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
