The longawaited wedding day had arrived.
“Well, I’m not the bride.”
Early in the morning, a bright sunshine and tingling mountain breeze entered through the open window gap, and the white silk curtains danced. Watching this, I hummed a tune, causing my personal maid Rina to be taken aback.
“What… Miss. Have I done something wrong?”
Rina, who asked courageously, trembled like a baby bird in front of a snake. The rag in her hand was mercilessly wrung, to the point where water puddled on the floor, as if I was terror itself.
“No. I’m really in a good mood, you know?”
If it were like any other day, I would have answered coldly with a mere “No” to match my villainous image. And then I would have punished Rina for impertinently speaking to her employer first.
‘But I don’t care about the villainous image anymore!’
Because today, I will escape this damned novel and return home.
The end of the novel was near. It was the day of the wedding where the heroine and the hero would confirm the fruits of their love.

‘I’m in the position of going to that wedding as a villain who failed to seize love.’
So, logically, I should have been in a bad mood, but I was only happy since I wasn’t really a villain.
Goodbye to the days when I was despised and received only cold looks in this reverse harem novel. Meeting the male candidates was truly filthy; let’s never meet again.
Rina muttered something while watching me unable to control my laughter.
“It seems the young lady has finally gone mad with jealousy……”
I can hear everything. Villains unnecessarily have good hearing.
And Rina seems to have lost some spirit.
“What have I done?”
I only acted displeased by slightly lifting the corner of my eye, but Rina’s face turned ashen, and she even cried.
“Ah, ah, it’s nothing! I apologize!”

“Good. It should be.”
I’m not mad. I’m just in an exceptionally good mood.
I finished getting ready to go to the heroine’s wedding ceremony, under Rina’s suspicious gaze.
Even the sight of Elizabeth, which I was tired of seeing every day, looked simply beautiful today.
The straight, glittering silver hair. Amethystlike enchanting purple eyes. Pale, milky white skin, and sly catlike eyes.
‘Goodbye, pretty villainous sister.’
Dobby is going free.
While looking at my excited self, Rina cautiously asked.
“Are you… going like that?”
“Yes. Why? Is there a problem?”

“No, no……”
A black veil, and a hat adorned with glossy crow feathers. And the dress that covered my white skin from neck to toe in pitch black, looked as if I were going to a funeral. It was the dress the villain, Elizabeth, wore in the last part of the novel.
‘Elizabeth’s father, the Duke of Keaton, would have been shocked if he had seen it, but now that Elizabeth is recovering from her accident, I won’t run into him, so it doesn’t matter.’
The dress, although black, was adorned with topgrade silk and black pearls, retaining its glamour, and I was satisfied with it.
Goodbye, Elizabeth Keaton. Today is the end with you.
“You’ve worked hard. Go out, Rina.”
“Yes……”
No matter how gorgeous, a funerallike black dress was not a style to be welcomed at a wedding. Perhaps bothered by that, Rina lingered for a while before hastily leaving the room.
Great. Finally alone!
Confirming that no one was left in the room, I rolled about on the bed, not caring whether the dress got wrinkled.

“Going! Home!”
I merrily hummed a tune, then called out to someone.
“Zero, once this is over, I can really go home, right?”
「How many times are you going to ask? Yes.」
A golden hamsterlike puff of yellow dust appeared in the air in response to my question. Or more precisely, with short arms and legs, perky ears, and a chubby, furry round body, it was the soft golden hamster, Zero.
Dressed in a suit, it looked as cute as a doll, but in reality, it was an assistant named NO.00000234232 sent from the Possession Management Bureau to help me.
“And don’t call me Zero!”
“What do I care. Your identification number is too long. How about I just call you Zero?”
“Arbitrary human!”
“So what. It’s a face I won’t have to see after today. Might as well get a good look.”
“Hmph.”

According to Zero, every story in the world creates a dimension as it’s born. And to make sure that dimension functions properly, there’s a manager in charge of each one, and Zero was one of those beings overseen by the manager of the dimension I’m now part of.
But unfortunately, the manager of this world was a newbie and accidentally possessed me into this dimension, that is, into a novel. Thanks to that, Zero became the only employee of the newly created Possession Management Bureau and was assigned to stick by my side, with the special mission of ensuring the ‘original work safely concludes.’
At the time, I was reading a reverse harem novel called ‘Sienna Walks a Flowery Path,’ and I was panicking after being suddenly possessed into the villainess Elizabeth while eating ramen.
“Ahem. Human, don’t worry too much. I, NO.00000234232, will help you get home.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
