Ga Eul responded with a smile so wide it was almost an admission of agreement.

She grabbed the edge of Gi Tae’s jacket and urged him outside.

The two stepped into the elevator. Gi Tae looked down at her and asked,

“Where are we going?”

“To the gallery’s storage vault first.”

“The vault? Why there?”

“Hmm…”

After repeatedly letting out nothing but vague “hmm”s, her clear face lit up with another smile.

“You’ll understand once we get there.”

She asked for his cooperation yet gave the most unhelpful explanation imaginable.

Nevertheless, seeing Ga Eul wearing what looked like her happiest smile in recent days, Gi Tae found himself unconsciously following her steps.

They arrived at the gallery’s storage vault.

Located in the gallery’s basement, the vault prioritized humidity control above all else. A systematic setup blocked every element that might degrade the artworks—making it the most expensive part of the entire facility.

As he followed Ga Eul, Gi Tae quickly scanned the paintings within his line of sight—an ingrained habit from running a gallery business.

He assessed everything from the artist’s technical skill to the overall atmosphere and message of each piece, but most critically, whether it showed potential to become highly valuable.
