“Gi Tae, it’s really been ages! I heard you came back to Korea, but it’s so hard to even catch a glimpse of you!”

“Long time no see, Cha Hye Su.”

“Ugh… I’m seriously hurt.”

The woman, her face lit up with joy, let out a pleasant sound, lightly touched his shoulder, and smiled. He, in turn, offered her a deliberately polite smile.

Her honest display of emotion left a strong impression on him.

She was refreshingly open and radiated confidence—her little complaints even came across as endearing rather than annoying.

Ga Eul looked again at the woman he had addressed as “Hye Su.”

Unlike her sweet and cute behavior, the woman’s wavy, luxuriant hair cascaded past her shoulders—a vision of pure glamour.

Though Ga Eul didn’t know much about luxury brands, even she could tell the woman was adorned only with expensive items. When she swept her long hair behind her ears, her long drop earrings sparkled under the lights.

She clearly had been doted on with love—from her outward appearance to her inner demeanor—and that very quality made her all the more captivating.

The woman openly showed her familiarity with him.

“I never expected to run into you here.”

Ga Eul had assumed she’d be free to browse the exhibition first.

Instead, she now stood silently in place, caught off guard by this unexpected acquaintance of his. He, too, had no choice but to pause briefly in the middle of the hall to respond to Hye Su.

“How have you been?”
