Ga Eul kept tapping her feet restlessly all the way to the upscale Korean restaurant where she’d made a reservation in advance.

Gi Tae, who caught sight of her while driving, let out a soft chuckle. She must be really nervous—even though he’d already received formal approval for their marriage.

After all, today was just a perfunctory meeting to exchange greetings.

A few days earlier, Gi Tae had received a call from his mother. Now that his father had also given his blessing, she suggested they hold the customary formal meeting so Hee Sun and Ga Eul could properly greet each other.

Unsatisfied with his answer, Ga Eul still looked visibly shaken.

She cautiously confided in him the real reason she’d been trembling the whole time.

“I’m still a little worried. It wasn’t this bad when meeting your mom, since we’ve known each other for so long… But this will actually be my first proper meeting with your father….”

Gi Tae was momentarily at a loss for words upon hearing her honest feelings, but soon nodded in understanding.
