At Chairman Shin Min-cheol’s mansion.

“……Pfft.”

During a family dinner, Yeon-woo suddenly burst into laughter, drawing the attention of everyone at the table. Caught off guard by the sudden focus, Yeon-woo awkwardly shrugged his shoulders.

“Ah, sorry about that.”

Curious about what had made Yeon-woo laugh, everyone’s gaze followed his to the object of his attention: his phone.

Using a phone at the dinner table could be considered rude, but the looks Yeon-woo received from his family were nothing but warm.

Among them, Chairman Shin himself, his eyes crinkling with affection, tenderly called out to his grandson.

“Yeon-woo, what’s so funny?”

“Ah… it’s nothing.”

Yeon-woo glanced down at his phone again, hidden under the table.

On the screen were texts exchanged with Autumn. While there were no initial messages from her, all the ones he sent were promptly replied to.

Her personality seemed to shine through the messages, involuntarily drawing out his laughter.

Embarrassed at being caught laughing foolishly by his family, Yeon-woo felt a bit awkward.

As he looked up, he met the warm gaze of his grandfather and asked him cautiously.

“Grandfather.”

“Yes, why do you ask?”

“How do you feel about someone like Autumn as your granddaughter-in-law?”

Chairman Shin’s eyes widened momentarily at the unexpected question, then a smile crept onto his lips. He naturally had a favorable impression, especially knowing she was the daughter of his favorite artist.

“Good, of course. But why Autumn all of a sudden during dinner?”

“Ah, that’s because…”

“Wait, don’t tell me, you like Autumn?”

His grandfather, who knew him well, cut him off before he could answer, excitement evident in his voice.

Yeon-woo laughed, realizing he couldn’t hide anything from his grandfather, and nodded in confirmation.

“Yes, I like Autumn.”

“Having Autumn in our family would be wonderful. So when will you bring her here?”

Yeon-woo’s eyes widened in surprise, his grandfather seemed to be getting ahead of himself.

He hadn’t yet confessed or even conveyed his feelings.

Feeling the need to take things slowly, Yeon-woo smiled wryly.

“It’s still a long way off. Just don’t oppose when I bring Autumn to introduce her.”

Chairman Shin burst into laughter.

“Why would I oppose? Just try and bring her if you can.”

Yeon-woo smiled and nodded, planning to ask Autumn out soon.

His hand reached for his phone again, but a message from Autumn stopped him.

[I’m a bit sick… I won’t be able to go out for a while.]

Understanding her situation, Yeon-woo felt a pang of disappointment.

[Alright. Let’s meet when you’re better, Autumn.]

“You’re early.”

“You said you’d only go to the gallery.”

Despite his casual tone, he lightly touched the wine bottle he brought to Autumn’s cheek, letting out a soft laugh as he entered the apartment.

Startled by the sudden cold touch, Autumn shivered slightly. Her eyes focused on the wine.

He handed the wine to Autumn and moved further into the room.

Should she be more familiar with him now? Holding the wine, Autumn spoke up.

“It’s wine.”

“Picked it up on my way. Do you like it?”

“Yes, I like wine.”

It felt like they were back to how things were before their argument.
As he walked past, Autumn sneaked a smile at him. Pleased with the smooth flow of conversation, a soft chuckle escaped her lips.

He ran his fingers through his hair and was about to enter the bathroom when he turned back and said, “Wait for me.”

“Okay.”

After he entered the bathroom, Autumn, holding the wine bottle, looked around and approached the wine rack.

‘Should I touch it…?’

She took two glasses hanging upside down and returned to the living room table.

With nothing else to prepare, she sat down neatly on the sofa. The place was much smaller than the main house but was well-organized and spotless.

‘Drinking wine at the CEO’s apartment, who would have thought?’

Soon, the quiet apartment was filled with the sound of water splashing against the bathroom tiles.

Waiting aimlessly, Autumn soon saw him come out of the bathroom, his hair still damp. She quickly grabbed her attention as droplets of water trailed down his neck, subtly outlining the unseen contours of his body. The sight of his broad shoulders and strong arms, highlighted by his casual t-shirt, caught her eye, causing her face to flush. She quickly turned her gaze back to the table.

Then, he sat down next to her.

“……What are you doing? You wanted to drink first.”

The fresh scent of his body wash filled the air, stiffening Autumn’s expression momentarily. Mistaking her reaction for discomfort, he reached out to check her forehead again.

“Is your fever back? It had gone down earlier.”

“No, it’s nothing.”

“Too bland.”

He casually opened the wine, which Autumn had forgotten to bring an opener for. As he poured the wine, a sweet grape aroma filled the air.

Her heart raced at the unfamiliar sight of him in such a relaxed state.

‘Ah, I need to tell him now.’

Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day

It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!

This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.

The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.

Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.

If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.

It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.

The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.

In the end, everything will come together and be explained.

One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!

In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.

Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.

However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.

Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.

Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?

——

Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.

His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.

Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”

——

The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.

Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!

Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!

The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…

——

But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.

The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.

She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…

Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”

Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”

Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?

[Small Theater]

The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.

Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”

Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.

Zhu Wansheng: ?

Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…

On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.

Warm breath lingers on her neck.

“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
