“It’s past 9 PM, isn’t it?”

“There are many movies that start after 10 PM.”

A late-night movie theater date, the mere thought was thrilling. The two caught a taxi and put their heads together to discuss which movie to watch.

As it happened, a movie starring Jenny was currently showing at the theater. Sun Woo took care of booking the seats and even pre-paid for snacks and drinks.

Thanks to that, even though they arrived at the theater just 10 minutes before the movie started, there was no rush.

The seats Sun Woo had reserved were in the couple’s section of the premium theater. The chairs were made of luxurious leather sofas that could recline sufficiently like first-class airplane seats and even had footrests.

Slippers were prepared for each seat, and partitions were installed on both sides, making it quite comfortable.

Green, who was learning for the first time that movie theaters had such facilities, found everything fascinating. As she sat back relaxedly, Sun Woo brought over the snacks and drinks.

“Green. Here’s diet cola and cheese nachos.”

“Oh? I prefer popcorn though.”

It wasn’t that Green particularly disliked nachos, but she believed popcorn was more fitting for the theater. It was a casual remark, but at that moment, Sun Woo’s pupils shook greatly.

“I’ll go get it again.”

Before she could stop him, Sun Woo rushed out. As Green blankly watched his retreating figure, she realized something with a sinking feeling.

The way he so familiarly reserved the best couple’s seats, and brought nachos as if it were natural.

He had been here many times before. With another woman.

Green’s heart started pounding. It wasn’t something she didn’t know. Hadn’t Sun Woo himself confessed that he once had a woman he liked enough to consider marriage!

When she first heard those words, she had acted tough, saying she would thank that woman for letting Sun Woo go if she ever met her.

Thinking about it now, it was nonsense. It would be fortunate if she didn’t grab her by the hair.

While she was having an imaginary fierce battle with Sun Woo’s ex-girlfriend whom she had never seen, Sun Woo returned holding a large bucket of popcorn and offered it to her.

“The nachos would have been fine too. Thank you, Sun Woo.”

Green smiled even more brightly on purpose, afraid her ugly feelings might show.

Fortunately, Sun Woo didn’t notice Green’s jealousy-ridden heart. He simply took off her sneakers and helped her put on the slippers so she could watch the movie comfortably.

Looking at Sun Woo’s broad back as he bent over next to her, Green felt an inexplicable urge to hit him.

‘Did you treat that woman this well too? Did you pour out all your heart like this?’

Green knew that her current feelings were extremely unreasonable and childish.

But just as she was crazy with excitement because of Sun Woo, who made her heart flutter with just one kiss, imagining that other women had kissed Sun Woo and felt the same excitement made her jealousy flare up.

She wished she could find all those women and erase all their exciting memories with Sun Woo.

As Green was unknowingly furrowing her brow while imagining these impossible things, Sun Woo asked worriedly.

“Green, are you uncomfortable somewhere?”

“Just, I walked a bit more than usual, so my feet hurt a little.”

“Oh no.”

Sun Woo tried to massage Green’s feet with a worried expression. She startled and folded her legs, looking around.

“Sun Woo, you should sit down too. The movie’s about to start.”

Just then, the inside of the theater darkened and the movie began. Sun Woo naturally put his arm around Green’s shoulders and fed her popcorn.

Even as she mechanically opened her mouth to eat the popcorn, Green kept imagining Sun Woo dating other women.

He must have fed that woman nachos. With lots of cheese dip.

“Ah!”

Sun Woo’s small cry sounded especially loud in the quiet theater. Green had unknowingly bitten his finger instead of the popcorn.

“Oh no! I’m sorry.”

Since it definitely wasn’t intentional, Green held Sun Woo’s finger that she had bitten and blew on it, not knowing what to do.

“It’s alright.”

Sun Woo smiled and brushed off the popcorn crumbs on Green’s mouth. Then he gave her a quick kiss on the lips.

She looked around startled, but fortunately, the partitions on both sides of the seat perfectly blocked the view from adjacent seats.

Noticing that she was somewhat relieved, Sun Woo stretched out his arm, pulled her shoulder, and once again deeply kissed Green’s lips before letting go.

Although there were partitions on both sides, Green felt uncomfortable kissing him while Jenny, who was passionately acting right in front of them, seemed to be staring down with wide eyes.

But the couple’s seat right in front of Green and Sun Woo was already in chaos.

The sight of them pressing their lips together as if the movie didn’t matter at all made Green think it was fortunate Jenny couldn’t see it. If she had seen it, with that mischievous personality of hers, she would surely have caused a scene.

Green grabbed Sun Woo’s face with both hands as he turned his body completely towards her, about to kiss her in earnest. Sun Woo’s eyes were shining with expectation even in the darkness, and his red lips were drawing a very sensual arc.

This too, like the whiskey Sun Woo usually drank, was too tremendous a temptation for Green to resist.

When Sun Woo slightly moved his lips to kiss Green’s thumb that was holding his cheek, her heart also began to race uncontrollably.

This wasn’t her intention, but she felt the urge to pull Sun Woo’s face, which she was holding firmly with both palms, and kiss his lips greedily.

But Green exerted superhuman patience and tightly gripped Sun Woo’s face with both hands. Then she swiftly turned his face towards the screen.

“If you want to answer properly when you meet Jenny next time, you need to focus on the movie. With her personality, if you can’t answer her questions within 3 seconds, she might overturn all advertising contracts and everything.”

Sun Woo, who could somewhat anticipate Jenny’s personality despite having met her only once, sensed that Green’s words were certainly not an exaggeration.

So he tried to focus on the movie despite the intense displays of affection from couples smooching all around.

Jenny’s acting as a daughter-in-law who entered a chaebol family for revenge on behalf of her twin sister was outstanding.

The rumors that Director Jo Eun Chan, who has recently gained fame as a notable Korean director, was sharpening his knife aiming for Cannes were not an exaggeration either.

Just as Sun Woo was becoming increasingly engrossed in the movie, he felt something gently touch his shoulder. He turned to see Green sleeping while leaning on his shoulder.

Sun Woo couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her deeply asleep, when just moments ago she had sternly told him to focus on the movie, knowing Jenny’s personality.

She must have been really tired after walking more than usual, as she had said.

Sun Woo turned away from the screen and adjusted his posture so she could lean more comfortably. Then he looked at her face.

Even while sleeping, Green frowned, scratched her cheek with her finger, sighed, and rubbed her forehead against his arm.

Then soon she breathed evenly and slept peacefully. In a short time, Green’s expressions changed frequently.

It was truly a shame for Jenny and Director Jo Eun Chan, but Sun Woo found watching Green’s sleeping face much more interesting than that movie they had poured hundreds of millions into.

Green, who had been sleeping for quite a while, woke up and looked around in confusion. She was now lying in the master bedroom, nestled in Sun Woo’s arms.

She was certain she had been watching a movie with him at the theater!

“Are you awake?”

“Sun Woo, when did we come home?”

“Don’t you remember?”

Seeing Sun Woo’s teasing look, Green tried hard to recall with an embarrassed expression.

“Green, the movie’s over. We need to go home.”

“If Jenny says she’s canceling our advertising contract, it’s all your responsibility.”

She vaguely remembered Sun Woo’s playful voice echoing in her ear. She couldn’t remember exactly what she had said in response though.

She also recalled leaning on Sun Woo and walking like a zombie at times.

“How did we get home?”

“You wouldn’t wake up no matter how much I tried, so I carried you.”

“That’s impossible! I remember walking a little bit!”

Sun Woo laughed loudly at that.

“You remember well. We took a taxi. I carried you from there to the house. It was really amazing how soundly you slept.”

Green scratched her head in embarrassment, but soon remembered the car they had left in the parking lot when they went for a walk along the Han River.

“We’ll have to go back to get the car today.”

“We can go later, no rush.”

As Sun Woo stretched out while lying down, Green finally smiled, relieved.

Just then, the doorbell rang urgently. Green and Sun Woo looked at each other simultaneously. There was no one who would visit at this time on a holiday.

“Could it be our fathers again?”

“I’ll go check.”

Sun Woo went to the living room and checked the security camera, only to find Ahn Yong Gi standing there with an anxious face, much to his surprise.

“Ahn Yong Gi, what brings you here at this hour?”

“Sun Woo, why aren’t you answering your phone?”

Sensing that something was not right from Ahn Yong Gi’s sudden outburst, Sun Woo quickly opened the front door on the first floor.

“Come up first.”

Returning to the bedroom, Sun Woo hurriedly checked his mobile phone. There were 6 missed calls. 4 from Director Ahn, 2 from Secretary Na Mi Ran.

“Who is it? Is something wrong?”

Green, who had just finished washing up, asked in surprise seeing Sun Woo’s serious expression.

“Ah, Yong Gi came. I put my phone on silent at the movie theater yesterday, and it seems he came directly because I wasn’t answering his calls.”

“Could there be an urgent matter at the company?”

“It seems so.”

As the bell rang again, Sun Woo rushed out. Green also hurried to change her clothes.

“Give me some water! And you, why aren’t you answering your phone when you’re at home?”

Ahn Yong Gi, seemingly parched, asked for water as soon as he entered. Sun Woo went to the kitchen and brought a glass of cold water.

“I had it on silent and didn’t hear it. What’s the matter?”

Just then, Green came out of the bedroom urgently.

“You’re here, Director Ahn.”

“Yes, have you been well? I’m sorry for suddenly visiting on a holiday.”

“It’s alright. It seems urgent, please talk.”

Green quickly went to the kitchen. In case Sun Woo had to leave in a hurry, she wanted to prepare at least a simple breakfast for him.

Ahn Yong Gi, who had been looking towards the kitchen, glanced at Sun Woo.

“She seems to have changed a lot in a year?”

“Why are you showing interest in another man’s wife?”

Surprised by Sun Woo’s unexpectedly sharp response, Yong Gi looked at him incredulously. He wondered if this was really his friend who was always cool and unemotional.

This was the first time Ahn Yong Gi had seen her since the day she had suddenly come to the office before the wedding. He hadn’t met Green at the wedding or after they returned from abroad.

But thanks to always being close to Sun Woo, he had noticed that he had been changing little by little over the past year. And that the cause of the change was his wife, Green.

“I just looked because your sister-in-law looks so different after a long time. Is that a problem too?”

“Sister-in-law, you say!”

“What, should I call her madam?”

As Ahn Yong Gi looked at Sun Woo challengingly, he replied with a face devoid of any humor.

“Call her elder sister-in-law.”

As Sun Woo suddenly switched his attitude from high school classmate to workplace superior, Ahn Yong Gi finally remembered why he had come looking for him so urgently early in the morning and furrowed his brow.
