Orentia and Dimidius arrived at Geranium’s townhouse—the Grand Duke’s residence—dragging their exhausted bodies behind them. They planned to rest at the residence first before heading to the Grand Ducal Palace.

Bobby, who had been waiting at the residence for Orentia’s return, rushed over in shock upon seeing her wounds.

“What on earth happened? Was something terrible at the hunting tournament?”

Bobby’s face had turned deathly pale. She always treated Orentia’s body like a precious treasure, so naturally, she was deeply shaken.

But to Orentia, a mere graze from an arrow on her arm was truly nothing. After all, she had already confirmed her self-healing ability long ago in the Odor territory and believed it would heal quickly.

Still covered in dirt and dust from riding through the forest, Orentia spoke to Dimidius.

“I need to go in, wash up, and rest a bit. Your Grace must be tired too—please don’t work today and just rest.”

Everyone in the household, not just Orentia, knew that Dimidius overworked himself constantly.

Seeing Orentia’s worried eyes, Dimidius obediently nodded.

“I shall follow your advice and rest properly tonight without attending to official matters.”

Whether this was an empty promise or not, Orentia couldn’t tell. For now, she left with Bobby and headed to the room she had used before at the Grand Duke’s residence. Once inside the attached bathroom, she tossed aside her sticky riding clothes and finally felt as if she could truly breathe again.

Today’s hunting tournament had been truly shocking. Kikozelia had fled after ordering someone to kill her, and the Empress’s misdeeds had been fully exposed. Without a doubt, Geranium would be extremely chaotic for a while.

For some reason, Orentia couldn’t forget the image of Sokor she had seen at the tournament grounds. He had been so overcome with guilt that he couldn’t even lift his head properly. It was the first time she had seen him so broken—not with satisfaction, but pity filled her heart. Perhaps it was because they’d been close when they were young.

Whether Sokor would cling to Kikozelia until her imprisonment or choose divorce depended entirely on his decision. That was something impossible to predict.

Aside from her injured arm, Orentia sank into warm water to ease her fatigue. The tension from horseback riding had left her entire body stiff with muscle aches.
