Dimidius, who hadn’t slept a wink, went straight to Regalis’s room as soon as morning came. Though Orentia had told him to stay put, he felt he at least needed to give Regalis a warning.

Regalis, seemingly having just finished washing up, was shaking the moisture from his hair. He looked at Dimidius, who had entered his room, and spoke in a puzzled tone.

“What brings you here so early in the morning?”

Dimidius glared at him as if ready to swallow him whole.

“Leave immediately. There’s no place for you within the Belial domain.”

“What do you mean? It’s only been a few days since I arrived at the Grand Ducal Palace. Why suddenly demand I leave?”

To Dimidius, Regalis’s casual attempt to act innocent was utterly repulsive. The audacity of a man who’d set his sights on a married woman, yet somehow still managing to speak so smoothly.

Finally, Dimidius stepped closer to Regalis and growled in a low voice.

“I know exactly what you’ve done to my wife. Do you really think I’d allow you to stay here after that?”

At that, Regalis’s expression twisted instantly, and his lips curled bitterly.

“So you’ve had me under surveillance after all.”

“Leave while I’m still speaking politely. Don’t test the limits of my patience.”

“And if I refuse?”

At those words, Dimidius’s eyes flashed dangerously. He seized Regalis’s throat with overwhelming force. The suddenness of the attack left Regalis gasping, his body thrashing helplessly. No matter how strong a young man Regalis might be, he stood no chance against Dimidius, who wielded demonic power.

“Gah! Ngh!”
