It seemed that she had asked the dressmaker she often visited to prepare the wedding dress and feast dress for her. She vaguely saw her skills in this.

Ollentia placed the box down and told Bobby, “Arrange them neatly and put them away. I’d rather not see them for now.”

The wedding was not far off, and she did plan to wear those dresses. However, she didn’t want to see them right away.

Of course, it would be exhilarating to wear those dresses and enter Bonos Cathedral with Dimidius. Only Marquis Socor and Kikojellia would probably be surprised. The marriage with Dimidius had the potential to become a marriage of the century.

Duke Dimidius had a formidable reputation. People said he had an exceptionally ugly face, almost like a demon, but his business acumen and power were remarkable. Many people wanted to get closer to him despite his appearance.

Ollentia remembered her uncle’s words.

“‘I hope my niece marries a half-man,’ that uncle of mine is nowhere to be found. Regardless of whether he’s a decent person, he said.”

He clearly said he was a decent person.

And as far as Ollentia was concerned, as long as Dimidius was someone who would uphold the contract, that was enough.

The Marquis of Lucsus suddenly made an appointment with Dimidius, causing his heart to pound. Because of Dimidius’s influence over the wood market through his Bellial, this was quite a significant event in the furniture business.

Dimidius didn’t waste time and got straight to the point.

“I’ll be straightforward, Marquis. Withdraw from Lady Armenia’s marriage.”

Marquis Lucsus didn’t even dream that the name of his soon-to-be bride would come out of Dimidius’s mouth. Marquis Lucsus leaned forward and blinked his eyes.

“W-what are you saying? It’s my wedding. You’re telling me to withdraw?”

Even as he spoke, Marquis Lucsus couldn’t stop trembling due to the intimidation emanating from Dimidius. It was something that had never happened before. He wasn’t usually like this, but Dimidius was clearly not in a good mood.

Dimidius crossed his legs and let out a deep sigh.

“H… I’m giving you a chance, Marquis. A chance to return everything. I warned you.”

Dimidius had heard from Viscount Odor about Ollentia’s inheritance issue.
“So, in the end, it’s because Viscount Lucsus and Viscount Odor covet the inheritance.”

Dimidius wanted to meet Viscount Armenia immediately, but he thought that Viscount Lucsus should come first. If he made one of the marrying parties back out, Viscount Armenia would have no choice.

Dimidius thought this way, and it made him suddenly angry to think that Ollentia was entangled in such a ridiculous marriage.

Then, Viscount Lucsus made a groaning sound and clenched his chest. Dimidius even felt sorry for him, seeing him suffering under the pressure.

After a moment, Viscount Lucsus took a deep breath and said, panting,

“I… I might die like this.”

“Me too, unknowingly.”

“Marriage. Isn’t it just not doing it?”

Only now did the answer he wanted come out of Viscount Lucsus’s mouth. Lucsus, still touching his chest, continued speaking.

“If we get married, we’ll be in danger of falling out with the Duke. Who would want to get married? No one would step forward.”

Whether it was because of business or the threat to their lives, no one would dare to proceed with a marriage. Lucsus just wanted to maintain a good relationship with Dimidius for the sake of the furniture business.

While the relationship with the Armenia family was important, it was not as crucial as the business ties they had with the Bellial Duke.

Viscount Lucsus silently watched Dimidius leave after their conversation. What would he do now? Perhaps he would meet Viscount Armenia again in this manner.

Meanwhile, Socor, upon hearing the news that Viscount Lucsus intended to break off the marriage, clenched his fist.

“Viscount Lucsus, what are you talking about!”

A somewhat rough voice escaped from Socor, and his chest heaved up and down. Socor took off his glasses, placed them on the table, and patted his clothes.

But Viscount Lucsus’s response remained unchanged.

“I said I won’t get married. Please don’t ask for the reason.”

“So why are you telling me not to ask for the reason? Shouldn’t you tell me what you don’t like so that we can change it?”

However, Viscount Lucsus remained silent with his round face. He knows that honeyed words flow from those lips when dealing with women! Socor didn’t like him staying silent.

Socor tried to persuade him once again.

“Please tell me the reason. I can’t accept this.”

Upon hearing this, Viscount Lucsus glanced left and right before finally speaking with difficulty.

“I’m not doing this to provoke my viscount. There was really no way to resist the Duke Bellial’s threats.”

Hearing an unexpected name, Viscount Socor furrowed his brow for a moment. He never imagined that the Duke’s name would come out of Lucsus’s mouth.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
