Orentia clasped her cold hands and pondered deeply.

‘Should I tell my uncle?’

She hadn’t hesitated about the corpse search, but this was more complicated. Informing Count Odor might complicate matters if Ankedo noticed and withdrew. She had heard that investigations are more successful when conducted covertly.

Orentia clutched her forehead as her head throbbed with pain, letting out a sigh.

“Sigh… But this is an opportunity.”

Despite the risk, if she approached as a client, she might learn a lot, including the building’s location.

Moreover, the prophetic dream of her crying at Morin’s grave was troubling.

She had said in that dream, ‘If only I had met Ankedo and resolved the matter, this wouldn’t have happened!’

It clearly meant she regretted not meeting Ankedo when she had the chance. So, she should go. She had to resolve this properly. She didn’t want to create a situation she would regret, especially since Morin’s life was at stake.

After safely burning the letter, Orentia got up from her bed.

Having sent Bobbi away, she thought she should visit Morin immediately. To find her location, she first had to visit the information guild in Odor.

Orentia changed into more practical clothing and left the main house for the carriage house. The coachman looked puzzled seeing her alone.

“Aren’t you bringing a maid or a knight with you?”

She had once been harassed in Shine Street for not being accompanied by a knight, but this time she had no choice.

Orentia opened the carriage door resolutely and spoke to the coachman.

“I need to move discreetly. Can you help me with that?”

Meanwhile, Dimidius had been observing Orentia’s agitated behavior in the garden from inside.

“People are exchanging letters even in the midst of this chaos.”

Hearing his comment, Kyllon bit his lip while examining a document full of text.

“Should we look into that as well?”

“Forget it. We’re busy investigating Thomas’s death. I’ll keep an eye on the Lady’s movements.”
She picked up the letter from the flower bed and took heavy breaths. She wanted to scream but was aware of the many eyes around her. She needed to maintain her usual composure.

After thoroughly reading the letter, Orentia went to her room on the 3rd floor of Count Odor’s mansion. She felt so dizzy she thought she might collapse. It was that shocking of an event, and she was at a loss about what to do.

Bobbi, seeing Orentia sitting dazedly on the bed, asked in a concerned voice.

“What’s wrong? Is it some bad news?”

After blinking for a while, Orentia finally managed to speak.

“No. Fortunately, Mr. Ankedo says he can offer an opinion that might change the Archbishop’s mind.”

“That’s good news, isn’t it!”

“Yes. But I think I’m feeling a bit unwell today. I’m going to lie down for a bit, could you please leave?”

She really did feel unwell, probably due to the shock of her prophetic dream being real.

Once Bobbi reluctantly left, Orentia finally took a deep breath. The letter included the date and location for the transaction of the magical device. The date was four days later, and the location was at Ankedo’s mansion, then moving to a secret place.

What could this secretive place be?

Could it be the room filled with mirrors?

According to the prophetic dream, Ankedo goes to a room full of mirrors to see the embezzled money. She couldn’t see the location of the money, but the scene changed.

If the location of the magical device transaction was in the building with that room, then it might be where Ankedo would find the church’s embezzled money.

Clasping her cold hands, Orentia seriously pondered.

‘Should I tell Uncle?’

She didn’t hesitate about the corpse search, but this was a different matter. Telling Count Odor might complicate things if Ankedo noticed and withdrew. She had heard that covert investigations often yield better results.

With a throbbing headache, Orentia held her forehead and let out a sigh.

“Sigh… But it’s an opportunity.”

Despite the risk, approaching as a client might reveal a lot, including the location of the building.

Moreover, the prophetic dream about crying at Morin’s grave bothered her.

Male lead is a clingy little husband

One-line summary: The male lead is initially an arrogant, noble, love-deprived brat, later a cute, clingy, scheming little jealous one.

Introduction:

One day, Lu Yuner’s soul transmigrates into a female-dominant world. She enters the Imperial Academy and takes up the position of a doctoral instructor, teaching classes and grading schoolwork.

One day, she encounters the young prince Su Qingwan secretly skipping class from the male academy.

As a result, Su Qingwan is punished.

From then on, Su Qingwan sees Lu Yuner as a “thorn in his side”.

But before long, this “thorn” becomes the person he cherishes most, and he goes to great lengths to win Lu Yuner’s affection.

Mini scene 1:

One day, the sun is high in the sky but Su Qingwan still hasn’t gotten up for class.

Servant Xiaoyuan: “Young prince, it’s time for class. You’ll be late otherwise.”

Su Qingwan says arrogantly: “I’m not going. I am the esteemed prince, my status is so noble, why should I suffer this hardship? Besides, isn’t learning all this just to please women? Hmph, they’re not worthy!”

Mini scene 2:

After Su Qingwan falls for someone, he completely changes. He no longer skips class and diligently learns how to be a good husband and father. But he discovers that Sister Yuner is always surrounded by admirers.

Drunk and overcome with jealousy one day, he clings to Lu Yuner, crying beautifully like a pear blossom in the rain.

Su Qingwan: “Qingwan likes Sister Yuner.”

Lu Yuner: “Young prince, you’re drunk.”

Su Qingwan: “Qingwan isn’t drunk. Qingwan likes Sister Yuner, likes you so much, likes you to bits…” Before he can finish, Lu Yuner’s eyes flash with emotion and she leans in closer.

[Reading Guide]

1. The female lead is gentle, gracious, humble and polite but not weak. The male lead is initially an arrogant, noble, love-deprived brat, later a cute, clingy, scheming little jealous one.

2. 1v1, a bit torturous in the beginning but definitely sweet later on.
