“But even if he heard, there’s nothing I can do about it.”

Right now, the most important thing was to ask Count Orodor for help. That was the only thought floating in her mind.

As Ollentia was about to speak, Count Orodor preemptively asked for understanding.

“My niece seems to have something urgent to discuss. May I be excused?”

Demidius nodded readily.

“Yes, I’ll return to my room. Please, have your conversation in peace.”

Demidius left with large strides, ascending the stairs. Thankfully, he didn’t pretend to know more than he should. Ollentia didn’t want it known in front of the Count that she was acquainted with Demidius.

As Demidius disappeared, Count Orodor turned to Ollentia with a stern face.

“What’s going on? What are you talking about?”

“We shouldn’t talk about this in such an open place. Let’s go to your study or bedroom.”

“Why is this happening!” Count Orodor grumbled, but he followed Ollentia into his study, making sure to call his aide. The Count ordered the aide to search the Sentmi River and then turned to Ollentia.

“Are we settled? Speak up. You need to tell everything, truthfully.”

Though usually friendly, he now mimicked the stern demeanor of an uncle.

Ollentia earnestly recounted everything she had witnessed and heard that day. She was curious to see how her uncle would react, considering the church’s priest had laughed off her story about Priest Ankedo.

“…So, I think the culprit is Priest Ankedo.”

As she finished, Count Orodor furrowed his brows deeply, as if he had heard the most unbelievable story.

‘Ah, as expected… was it a mistake to tell my uncle? Is this the reaction of everyone in Orodor?’

Nevertheless, the Count was the only reliable person in Orodor. He also had the power to investigate.

After a long silence, Count Orodor cleared his throat and spoke.

“I’ll consider it because I don’t think you’d lie. But I can’t accuse someone without any evidence. In Orodor, Ankedo is highly respected. He even received this year’s Orodor’s Distinguished Person Award.”

“That award… you gave it, didn’t you?”

Count Orodor awkwardly scratched the back of his head.

“Yes, I did. He saved children from a burning house. How could I not?”

“Ah… It seems like he has a different side that he’s hiding.”

“I’ll look into it, so you just stay out of it, okay?”

Count Orodor’s face turned stern again, warning of danger if she got involved in such a risky matter.

Worried, but understandable.

Ollentia nodded obediently.

“If I had planned to do anything myself, I wouldn’t have told you, uncle.”

“You!”

“Just don’t worry unnecessarily.”

Ollentia smiled, squinting her eyes. Despite her words, she felt she had to act on her own. Her uncle might handle it well, but being generally fond of Ankedo, he might overlook something important.

Thomas’s death and the embezzlement case at Orodor Church were urgent matters. She hoped helping the Archbishop might lead to the cancellation of her wedding, though she wondered if that was why she was so obsessed with the case.

After leaving the Count’s study, Ollentia moved to the cottage next to the daisy field. On her way, she thought about Moring, the woman with the orange shell hairpin, Ankedo’s former lover. Maybe visiting her could uncover something.

“Search for the body quickly.”

Ollentia had clearly said so. Her complexion was pale, and she repeatedly clenched and unclenched her fists, showing extreme anxiety.
Returning to his guest room, Demidius pondered before speaking to his aide Killun.

“Check if there have been any missing person or murder reports filed in Orodor recently.”

Since Ollentia had requested a search for a body, Count Orodor would act, and some form of formal report would surely be made. Although it wasn’t certain to be a case of missing person or murder, Demidius’s intuition suggested it wouldn’t be for a good reason.

Demidius planned to start there, needing to know what Ollentia was up to.

Then, Killun asked even though he knew the answer.

“Yes, I understand. But, is this related to Lady Armeniaca?”

Demidius didn’t respond. He saw no need to answer.

But Killun continued, slightly smiling.

“She is the person you most need right now, isn’t she? Lady Armeniaca. You opened the demon’s power for her, needing someone with holy power. It would be great if she could help you.”

“Talking a lot today, aren’t you?”

“Isn’t that why you had me find out where Lady was going from Orodor station? Why pretend otherwise? That’s more curious.”

Demidius adjusted his mask and spoke seriously.

“Pretend? It’s just watching without expectations. I’m not sure if she’s someone who’d reach out when I need help.”

Besides, it seemed Ollentia hadn’t fully realized her holy power. He didn’t think she’d remain unaware forever, eventually realizing and being surprised by its strength.

Demidius swallowed, recalling the moment he had touched her hand.

When yandere male lead believes she loves him — but she never did

“How dare you!”

“How dare you make me love you, only to cast me aside as nothing more than a friend?!?

“I will never accept that.”

“I will never let you return to him.”

“Even if I have to burn myself to ashes.”

“Even if I must shatter my purity, my dignity, my very soul.”

“I will never let you escape me!”

This was the first novel that introduced me to the matriarchal genre. I’ve read it three times already!

At first, the male lead despised the female lead. Later, he misunderstood that she liked him, so he condescendingly and reluctantly reciprocated her feelings.

Then, he suddenly discovered that she was kind to everyone in the same way, and there was already someone she cherished in her heart, and that person was not him.

The male lead couldn’t believe it, he became angry and crazy. He was determined to capture her body and heart by any means necessary.

Synopsis:

Want to see how a green tea bitch male lead falls in love with the female lead?

Want to see how he flirtatiously pursues the female lead?

Want to see how he gets slapped in the face repeatedly?

The male lead is a green tea bitch, a poisonous lotus, jealous, ruthless, unscrupulous, with a venomous heart, and he’s also a delusional maniac.

The female lead is righteous, positive energy-filled, kind, a holy mother.

Let’s see how two people with extreme personalities come together~
