Feeling pain and grimacing, Ollentia touched the injured area and then pretended to be fine.

“It’s nothing, really!”

“Is that so? Maybe I should have left it alone then.”

But Ollentia knew. Her injury was nothing compared to Dimitrius’s severe wounds. He had hurt his arm and had even coughed up blood earlier. Was there something wrong with his body?

They weren’t close enough to inquire about personal matters, so she had to gloss over the situation.

Ollentia took a moment to catch her breath after wiping the blood from her neck with a clean cloth Dimitrius offered. The scene of rampant killing was unbelievable to her.
