Support team? Damn! The news about the search warrant must’ve reached Kim Yu Jun’s ears by now. Given how vicious those guys were, who knew what tricks they’d pull?

“Damn it.”

Anxious that the evidence might be snatched away, Ji Ho openly vented his frustration. Suddenly, every second counted.

“Prosecutor Ahn, Team Leader Kim—load everything we’ve gathered so far into the car, quickly.”

“Should we go back up?”

“No! Head straight to the office right away.”

Once the study was somewhat secured, Ji Ho split the team. Half began moving the stacked-up boxes, while the other half searched the remaining rooms.

“Three of you take the bedroom and balcony. Mr. Jung and I will handle the kitchen and laundry room.”

Ji Ho shouted loudly on purpose, making sure the lawyer heard every word. That way, even if crucial evidence was found, it would look like it was discovered during a thorough search of the whole house—not from an insider’s tip.

“But didn’t you say the support team was coming?”

“We’re all busy people—just do your part and meet up when it’s done, right?”

At Ji Ho’s signal, the staff scattered. The lawyer, who’d been watching closely, quietly slipped toward the bedroom. Only after confirming the obstructionist was gone did Ji Ho begin searching the kitchen with the detective.

He flung open every cabinet door under the sink and dumped everything out: instant rice packs, ramen noodles, bottles of various liquors, and expensive glasses.

Ji Ho yanked off his tie and tossed his jacket aside. Rolling up his sleeves, he grabbed a spoon and dropped flat onto the floor in front of the sink.
