Ji Ho strode into the room and sat down opposite Oh Jong Hyuk.

“I’ve got an interrogation tomorrow, so I have to leave soon.”

Although he’d readily agreed to come, Oh Jong Hyuk was already backtracking the moment they met.

Ji Ho met his gaze while dropping ice cubes into the already-prepared shot glass. At that, Oh Jong Hyuk’s shoulders, which had been grumbling in protest, flinched upward.

Regardless, Ji Ho went ahead and made himself an on-the-rocks drink, then pushed the glass toward Oh Jong Hyuk.

“Drink.”

Ji Ho slowly spun the clear glass in his fingers before taking a sip. The sharp scent of oak stung his nose, accompanied by a bitter, spicy kick. His previously sharp vision began to blur faintly.

“This isn’t an interrogation room, and I’m older than you, so I’ll ask plainly.”

Since Ji Ho had mostly used formal speech until now, his switch to casual language left Oh Jong Hyuk instantly frozen.
