“Good job, Anchor Yoon.”
With Park PD’s signature, today’s news also ended without a hitch.
After finishing monitoring in the studio’s waiting room, Woo-yeon stopped by the mart for the first time in a while.
Ginger tea for a good throat, a sandwich for a simple dinner, and a few snacks to eat while studying.
After filling her basket, she checked the time and saw that it was past 11 at night.
Woo-yeon parked her car in the parking lot and sat absentmindedly for a moment. Before leaving work today, Reporter Yeom had approached and asked when Cha Tae-kyung would hand over the file.
“…Yeah.”
Maybe she should have been more proactive and gotten along with him better. Well, their relationship isn’t bad even now.
Woo-yeon recalled the viewership chart that Director Song had shown her this morning. When senior anchor Kang Da-hee was in charge, the viewership was in the 6% range. After Woo-yeon took over, it initially experienced a decline but stabilized in the 8% range, even surpassing the previous record.
The problem was that due to the runaway success of variety programs recently aired by other broadcasting stations, the viewership dropped for two consecutive weeks.

Even if there’s a well-performing program in the same time slot, she couldn’t just sit and watch the viewership drop.
The prosecution noticed the secret deal between Minister Shin Nam-ho and Jung Eum Construction, and they hinted that a thorough investigation would be conducted soon.
She promised herself that even if it’s late, she would definitely get the file from Cha Tae-kyung before the end of the year.
After transferring the items from the full basket to her suitcase stored in the trunk, Woo-yeon stood in front of the elevator.
‘You wait for me with this body, don’t you.’
Maybe she should have hugged him.
It seemed like she was also excited and thirsty for the man who resembled her taste.
She forgot to press the button and stood blankly for a while.
Fortunately, it seemed like there was already someone inside, and the elevator automatically descended to the underground parking lot without pressing the call button.
As the closed elevator door opened, Woo-yeon regained her sense of reality.

Not being able to get into the elevator was because her view was blocked by an indecent scene.
A young woman and a familiar man were mixed together and came into her sight. Woo-yeon’s facial expression changed dramatically.
Midnight in the officetel.
A man and a woman. But the two could never become lovers.
“President Park?”
The man’s identity was Min-kwon Park, Ji-woo’s husband and the type of person Woo-yeon really disliked.
She couldn’t hide her expression, and it distorted as it was. At this ambitious hour, his appearance, which seemed to have come out of a young woman’s house, closely resembled that of an adulterer.
Terrified by the thought of what he might be doing here, Woo-yeon shivered.
Seeing Woo-yeon belatedly, Min-kwon Park recognized her and coughed severely.
Brushing off the cheap affection the woman clinging to him had shown, Min-kwon Park firmly pushed her away and said, “What brings you here at this hour, Ms. Woo-yeon?”
Now the woman who finally recognized Woo-yeon frowned and moved away from the back of Min-kwon Park.

Woo-yeon muttered with a sneer, “I live here.”
“You didn’t live near Jamsil?”
“I moved.”
While speaking, Woo-yeon slowly scanned the woman hiding behind Min-kwon Park, from head to toe.
Seo Ji-woo and Min-kwon Park are the same age.
When she mentioned meeting a man twelve years older for the first time, Woo-yeon didn’t particularly object.
The number between a man and a woman wasn’t crucial. However, no matter how you looked at it, the woman’s age seemed barely twenty, at most around twenty-two.
Her slender body and distinctive mask seemed familiar for some reason.
Is she a celebrity?
In fact, many celebrities who lived alone were here in this officetel.

Anyway, the number that wasn’t particularly important until now had a significant impact on this pair of adulterers.
Seo Ji-woo mentioned that she’s currently trying to have a child.
While twenty-nine might not be considered a late age for people these days, in a chaebol family, a woman’s age of twenty-nine can be a problem. So, before her in-laws become more aware, she plans to have a child quickly.
It was bitter.
Why is the end of every marriage I see the same?
When promising eternal love while exchanging hearts, the fact that people’s hearts change faster than outdated furniture is somehow amusing.
Isn’t it too absurd?
“Oh, Oppa. I’ll contact you later.”
The woman who murmured softly to Min-kwon Park disappeared hastily into the elevator with a pale face.
Now, only Min-kwon Park and Yoon Woo-yeon were left.

Min-kwon Park took his hand out of his pants pocket and suggested talking for a moment.
“Should we go by Yoon Anchor’s car, or is it okay to go by my car?”
Are you crazy?
What are you going to do in that confined space?
Woo-yeon quickly interrupted his words.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
