Captured into the Bedroom of the Enemy Emperor (1 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 47
Julia walked around the table for a while and went to Patrick’s side. Without even asking, she placed her hand on the chair next to him.
A servant approaching quickly pulled out the chair and helped Julia sit down.
“Your Highness Patrick, it’s been since graduation from Tane Academy that we’ve met—how lovely to see you.”
“Princess Leac. The pleasure is mine.”
“Does Your Highness not dance the waltz?”
At Julia’s shrill voice, Carolina looked at Patrick, waiting for his reply.
“I’ll request a dance shortly.”
Carolina barely suppressed the laugh bubbling up and removed her lace gloves, wiping her hands with a handkerchief.
Just then, a commotion erupted at the banquet hall’s entrance, and the orchestra swiftly shifted into a march.
“His Majesty the Emperor and Her Majesty the Empress, the newlyweds, have arrived.”
Everyone rose in unison and applauded. The imperial party proceeded to the table where the Empress Dowager and neighboring monarchs were seated.
The Emperor kept his hand around Patricia’s waist and whispered brief introductions of the dignitaries into her ear. Patricia gave a slight curtsy and greeted them with a radiant smile.
As the imperial party made their rounds, the paused waltz resumed, prompting them to stop at Empress Consort Pamila’s table and Emperor Kazan’s table to exchange greetings. While Alessia was delivering a lengthy congratulatory speech, Isabella cut her off.
Julia returned to her seat, and Chris shifted his position to sit beside Alessia.
After a brief pause, the orchestra tuned their instruments and began playing the preparatory waltz.

One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”

Oh! Harcen made a surf board and have Patricia surfing at the sea? That’s so nice of him! If I were her, I too would be thrilled as I riding the waves.
Could it be the grave with the red hibiscus is the late Empress’ (a.k.a Patricia and Patrick’s mom) grave? Talk about cutting onion.
Oh Dear. This must be before Patricia have her memory regressed from the poison’s side effect on the summary and only recognized Harchen from their academy days. This is so awful.
