“‘Dress’? A handsome young ‘nobleman’?”

Hades frowned at Latifa’s incessant use of Imperial speech.

When she spoke Desert Tongue, her tone was always gentle and slow, but when she mixed in Imperial phrases, her speech became quick and lively—so much so that even Hades struggled to understand her clearly.

“Still, since you’re from the thousand-year-old honorable Caleb house, my dream of dancing with a noble young man is already half fulfilled.”

“The Caleb house is nothing like those run-of-the-mill noble families! How dare you compare it to such places!”

“Yes, I’ll take that as an honor—the noble young Caleb of the Grand Bazaar.”

“Wha—what? What does ‘young nobleman’ even mean?”

“It means a handsome man.”

Latifa brushed it off vaguely and pulled the hesitant Hades to the center of the carpet to demonstrate.

“One, two, three. One, two, three.”

Though no one else was there, Latifa cradled her arms as if holding someone precious, raised her white arms into the air, and lightly bounced on her toes. Watching her, Hades couldn’t help but smile faintly at the sight.

After stepping gracefully and elegantly gathering her skirt to bow to an imaginary audience, Latifa—slightly embarrassed by Hades’s passive reaction—grabbed his hand and spoke cheerfully.

“I’ll lead. One hand here, on my waist. The other, hold mine. Oh… now that I look, you really are tall.”

As Hades awkwardly placed his hand on her waist, Latifa reached to rest her hand on his shoulder, then tilted her head slightly in mild confusion.
