When Tarek set down his water pipe and spoke irritably, Hades stretched leisurely and rose from his seat.

Then he shouted loudly toward the crowd gathered in the stadium.

“It’s already this late, is it? Are you all tired? I hope the food and drink suited your tastes. It’s an honor bestowed by the Sultan himself—how could it possibly be anything less than delicious?! Hahaha! Ah, but if by any chance it didn’t please you, please run straight to the palace and complain to the Sultan—not to me!”

The comfortably inebriated guests applauded, commending the host of the Caleb estate for his efforts in hosting the banquet.

“Now, I know you’re all curious. What will the self-proclaimed mad dog Hades—the very center of every scandal and legend in this Grand Bazaar—appoint as his Fraulein?!”

The crowd burst into laughter, cheering and clapping at his humorous self-introduction as a mad dog. Hades continued speaking with a bright smile, clearly enjoying their reaction.

Though Hades was indeed a fearsome mad dog, he undeniably possessed overwhelming charm and charisma that captivated everyone around him.

“A Fraulein appointment ceremony is, by nature, a childish affair—merely showing off pedigreed hounds or famed northern steeds performing tricks. To my esteemed guests who endured the humiliation of attending such an event, I offer my deepest gratitude.”

“Your chatter is too long.”

Tarek grumbled from beside him. Hades flicked his eyes sideways and turned his head toward Tarek.

“Predictable and dull? Those adjectives absolutely do not suit Hades Caleb Ignite. Though perhaps they match the tastes of noble lords like our Prince Tarek seated beside me. Hahaha!”

“Hades…!”

Tarek furrowed his brow deeply and gripped his golden wine cup tightly.

Clink—the fruit wine inside the golden cup spilled slightly, unable to contain the ripple. Hades feigned innocence and asked for forgiveness.

“Surely the famously fiery little flame, Prince Tarek, isn’t angry over such words?”
