Latifa, who had been continually vomiting, was becoming increasingly conscious for shorter periods until she eventually lay in a state of unconsciousness for several days.

Hades poured several drops of a brown liquid from a small glass bottle into the motionless Latifa’s mouth.

Then, as if overwhelmed by some emotion, he nervously set the bottle down and spoke to the medical officers standing in front of him.

“Why isn’t she waking up even after taking the medicine? Explain it to me.”

A medical officer with an anxious expression stammered, bowing his head.

“It’s difficult to use the medicine since we don’t even know what poison was used, and her constitution is very different from that of the desert people.”

Hades snapped his head around and glared at the medical officer.

“I apologize!”

“If you continue administering the medicine and wait, she will soon awaken. She’s still breathing, isn’t she?”

The medical officer begged Hades, his limbs trembling, his head bowing deeply.

“She’s still breathing, you say?”

Hades’s eyebrows twitched at the medical officer’s words. He paced slowly in front of them, murmuring.

“I intended to display that woman, who should be up and about in good health by now, in my triumphal procession, showing to the whole world that she is my Frau. How could I trivially name my Frau, who has received the title of Ignite?”

“Frau…!”

At the news that Hades would make Latifa his Frau, the already pale faces of the medical officers turned ashen.

As Hades roared, the military officer screamed a shrill scream, foaming at the mouth, and fainted.

Hades sighed slightly, looking at the remaining military officers and spoke.

As Hades spoke to another military officer, he immediately bowed his head and answered vehemently.

“It’s not the fault of the general! It’s all because of our foolishness!”

“What I want to hear is not how foolish you are.”

The other military officer who had been answering vehemently shut his mouth and said nothing.

A sword was still attached to Hades’s waist, and no one knew when the notoriously cruel mad dog would wield it again.

At least, one quickwitted man among the military officers prostrated himself to Hades and spoke politely.

“May I dare speak to the general! The medicine we prepare is made for us, and it might have become poison to the frail imperial, who is extremely weakened. It could be that the patient’s body is so severely affected that she cannot open her eyes, so please give us more time and the opportunity to prolong our humble lives, Ignite.”
