Can an Enemy Become Salvation? (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 162
“Where are you going?”
Davian, who had just been about to go out, stopped in her tracks at the question from the palace knight. Seeing the knight’s look that clearly said she wouldn’t be allowed to leave without an answer, she obediently revealed her destination.
“I have an appointment with Lady Karan.”
“Then we’ll accompany you as well.”
“…Alright.”
Davian nodded indifferently and headed toward where the carriage was waiting. As soon as she boarded and the carriage set off, the knights followed behind.
Upon arriving at her destination shortly after, Davian entered a shop, where Karan was already waiting for her.
After exchanging greetings with Karan, Davian turned toward the knights who had followed her all the way here and said,
“She’ll be uncomfortable with you around, so wait outside.”
The knights, having confirmed the two young ladies seated facing each other, bowed their heads and obediently stepped out of the shop. Relieved that things had gone smoothly, Davian let out a quiet sigh and spoke to Karan.
“Thank you for agreeing to this troublesome request.”
“It’s only natural since it’s a request from you, Lady Davian. I told you before—feel free to ask anytime you need help. But what’s this about with him?”
“It’s a personal matter of mine, and I don’t want it getting out unnecessarily.”
With that, Davian subtly signaled she didn’t want further prying and rose from her seat, leaving Karan’s curious gaze behind.
“Then I’ll wait here. Please go ahead comfortably.”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
