Then something caught his eye. A bullet mark left on one side of the monster’s body; it was the location of the core that Evenel had intended to reveal until the end.

‘Till the end.’

A sword energy unlike any before erupted from Shuher’s sword, and with a single blow, he completely obliterated Ebor along with the core.

“Your Majesty, Lady Evenel is….”

Ignoring Demil’s question, he went to where she had fallen. The fog below the cliff was too thick to discern her fate.

“Your Majesty, what now?”

Shuher had to make a decision. Their group was completely exhausted from several battles. Facing another monster while trying to rescue them could result in greater losses.

And there was no way to know the fate of the two most important people.

Words Evenel had said earlier as if foreseeing this situation came to mind.

[“But if you don’t save me when someone else is also in danger, I won’t hold it against you.”]

Shuher couldn’t think rationally as usual. Something kept making him hesitate.

Bang!

That was when it happened. A gunshot sounded from beyond the fog below the cliff.

‘Could this sound be?’

It was definitely Evenel. And with that shot, she was telling him that she was alive.

Shuher felt relieved and began to consider her next possible moves, a part of his thoughts that he could decisively conclude.

She would find a way to survive, no matter what.

That single gunshot cleared his cluttered mind in an instant.

“Raul.”

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

“Go inform Count Renel about this situation quickly. The knights of Count Ferti will return with the injured, and we’ll head toward the entrance from that cliff.”

Shuher moved his feet towards the path where he expected her to reappear. Strangely, he felt a sense of urgency.

“What are you doing now?”

Hivru could only ask that after seeing Evenel shoot her gun towards the sky suddenly.

“Signaling. That we’re safe.”

Saying so, Evenel wrung out her water-soaked clothes and hair as much as she could.

“We were lucky. The cliff wasn’t as high as I thought, and below it was a deep pool of water.”

She wasn’t uninjured, but having escaped major injury and keeping her life was enough for now.

“Are you hurt anywhere?”

“Other than being wet, I’m fine.”

Evenel confirmed that even her bullets were intact and stood up from her position.

“Let’s go then.”

“Weren’t you waiting for someone to come rescue us?”

Hivru was naturally surprised, thinking they would just wait for their companions here. However, she shook her head decisively.

“We don’t have time to wait. The sun will set soon. You know there’s a way to the entrance where we came in from the forest.”

“That may be so, but.”

“Let’s head that way. Surely His Majesty would have gone that way too.”

So, that’s why Evenel had signaled to Shuher about her survival. However, Hivru didn’t hear that voice at all.

She was literally in a state of panic.

“The paths here are especially narrow and rugged. We have to climb steep slopes, and we might encounter monsters as well.”

“Do you know the way, at least?”

To Evenel, that was more important. The situation was unexpected, and she didn’t know the geography of this surrounding area. So she had no choice but to go with Hivru, who knew the details of the terrain and where the monsters resided.

“It’s better if we move quickly, they may notice there was a fight and come here.”

Finally, Hivru raised her voice.

“Stop talking nonsense! There are only the two of us. How are we supposed to get through that forest to the entrance?”

He already looked as if he had given up everything. But to Evenel, even the time spent arguing was a waste.

“Don’t you know better how dangerous it becomes at night? And the extermination squad is injured as well. We need to move.”

“Still, it’s impossible for just the two of us.”

“You’re a member of the Ferti family, aren’t you? Don’t you have the same power as His Majesty?”

So, Evenel thought it would be okay. With his power, they could somehow make it through.

“My power is nothing compared to His Majesty and my father. It’s impossible……”

“Enough whining!”

Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.

After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.

Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!

Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?

Short scene 1:

Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.

Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?

Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?

Short scene 2:

Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”

Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.

Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”

Wei Jing Mo: “…”
