That same evening.

Da Hee was in a good mood after hearing the news that Hye Ju and Joo Won had been stranded on Shinwol Island.

‘When a young man and woman spend the night together, something’s bound to happen, right?’

She sincerely hoped Hye Ju would finally move on from Seung Won. And if Hye Ju could have a loud, dramatic romance right before Seung Won’s eyes, that would be even better.

As long as she could erase Hye Ju from Seung Won’s life, she didn’t care who the other person was.

Seung Won had been the first person whom Cheon Da Hee—“Oh Hye Ju’s counterfeit”—had claimed before Hye Ju herself. It didn’t matter who’d liked him first or how Seung Won truly felt; the only thing that mattered was that “Seung Won had accepted Cheon Da Hee’s confession.”

That night, when they’d both been completely drunk.

For Da Hee, that night—which Seung Won couldn’t even remember—still felt like a dream. Lately, Seung Won was giving her a splitting headache. He’d always been indecisive, but recently he’d taken it too far.

Whenever she tried to make plans, he subtly avoided her. He’d even started volunteering for overtime—something he’d never done before. It had been ages since they’d had anything resembling a real date. He hadn’t outright said “let’s break up,” but at this point, she was starting to wonder if they were even still together.

The problem was that Da Hee knew exactly why.

She’d known about Seung Won’s feelings from the very beginning. What mattered now was that the foolish man—who’d wandered around clueless about his own heart for ten whole years—was slowly beginning to realize the truth.

‘I can’t let that happen. Seung Won is mine. I won’t give him up to anyone!’
