Chae Won changed into a baggy T-shirt and short shorts and sank deep into the sofa.

“Yes, I’ve got some things going on, so I probably won’t be able to come for a while. Please take good care of my sister.”

Considering No Jae Min’s eyes, which had looked as if he were about to enact some grand revenge, she decided it was best for Hee Joo not to receive any visitors for the time being.

Besides, Gorona might be so terrified she’d hire another agency to tail her.

“If anything comes up, please call me right away. I’ll hang up now.”

After ending the call, Chae Won stared blankly into space, lost in thought.

“I guess I’ll have to take a break from the hospital for a while too.”

Suddenly, her gaze turned toward the large living room window—and there, she saw a golden crescent moon.

She stared intently at the pure, serene light of the moon.

Her thoughts kept spiraling deeper, her eyes slowly drifting downward before lifting once more to rest on the moon again.
