Her friends’ reactions upon seeing the wedding invitation were all the same.

“Isn’t this way too rushed? Next week, really?”

“Right? I didn’t even know you had a boyfriend.”

Rona set down her drink and smiled calmly.

“We actually postponed the wedding because we planned to get married after the baby’s born, but Jae Min said it’d be too overwhelming afterward, so he suggested we move the ceremony up.”

“Still, next week is shocking. I already have plans that day.”

As her belly grew noticeably by the day, Rona felt pressed for time and called dozens of wedding halls to check availability.

She had aimed for at least a month out, but happened to hear that a venue she liked had just had a cancellation—only next weekend was open.

Rona knew it was a tight schedule, but enticed by the brand-new convention center’s cleanliness and elegant interior, she happily booked it and immediately printed the invitations.

Of course, the elders expressed concern, but since they understood she was pregnant and every day mattered, both families reluctantly accepted it.

“It’s sudden, so don’t be upset if anyone can’t make it. Honestly, why are so many people getting married in summer? Everything was fully booked, and that was literally the only available date. After thinking it over, I figured the dress fit was important too, so I just decided—why not go ahead and hold it next week?”

That morning, she handed out invitations first to her coworkers.

Though everyone looked stunned by the short notice, they all ended the conversation warmly with congratulations.

Finally feeling reassured, Rona found herself thinking again and again how right it was that she’d stepped forward instead of waiting for Jae Min’s divorce.

Thus, aside from a few high school friends, she’d informed everyone of her wedding date via mobile invitation.
