The next morning, Chae Won put on small drop-shaped earrings and stood up straight, gazing into the mirror.

After glancing over her white sleeveless dress that left her shoulders bare, Chae Won smoothed her hair with her hands and headed toward the front door.

Just as she slipped her feet into her sandals and reached for the doorknob, Chae Won paused at the sudden loud clang of her neighbor’s door closing.

After a brief moment of thought, Chae Won pushed the door open with resolve.

Yoo Gun, who naturally turned his head, was dressed neatly in a navy suit. Caught momentarily off guard by his striking appearance, Chae Won quickly offered a greeting.

“Did you sleep well?”

“No way.”

Knowing exactly why without needing to ask, Chae Won ended the conversation with a quiet cough.

Soon, the elevator arrived with a ding, having smoothly descended all the way from the 45th floor.

A woman who appeared to be in her mid-30s was already inside, head bowed, completely absorbed in her phone.

The two of them stepped naturally into the elevator.

“Did you sleep well, Miss Chae Won?”

At his indifferent question—his eyes fixed ahead—the woman on her phone glanced quickly at Yoo Gun.

Surprised as though wondering, “Has someone like this been living in our building?” the woman briefly turned to look at Chae Won as well before returning her gaze to her phone.

“Yes, I slept well.”
