Jae In flinched at Do Hyuk’s probing words and jumped up.

“Of course! I obviously went by myself.”

“Hmm. I see.”

Do Hyuk shifted his gaze back to the documents, then glanced up nonchalantly at Jae In, who was still standing.

“Assistant Manager Seo, are you just going to keep standing there?”

“No! I’m leaving right now.”

Jae In bowed quickly and hurried out.

‘Why’s the team leader acting so strange all of a sudden? Making me feel awkward. Did something upset him?’

As Jae In sat down, tilting her head in confusion, Na Hee turned to her with an unmistakable air of curiosity.

“Assistant Manager Seo, why that look? What did the team leader say?”

“He said he’s not feeling well, so he won’t eat the sandwich.”

“That’s all? He didn’t say anything about you leaving your seat?”

Seeing Na Hee’s obvious disappointment, Jae In unconsciously clenched her fist.

“Deputy Manager Kang, aren’t you heading home?”

“What? Are you trying to get rid of me so you can be alone with the team leader for something?”
