On a chilly winter morning, as the cold wind brushed through the bare branches, a woman wearing high heels briskly walked through the falling leaves and entered the Daesan F&G building.
Clickclack, clickclack.
The sound of her lively heels echoed through the office, drawing everyone’s attention to one place.
The one who made a grand entrance and caught everyone’s gaze was Seo Jae In, the team leader of the Product Planning 1 team.
“Oh, Team Leader Seo, you really came with a strong presence! I was wondering who it was. Haha.”
As soon as Jae In entered the office, Manager Park showered her with praise that was not really praise.
“You always have a cheerful face, but where are you off to today?”
Jae In tried to brush it off with a smirk and move on, but Manager Park, who was famous for being perceptive, continued to ask questions.
“Don’t tell me you’re going on a blind date?”
“….”

“Huh? Is it true? Oh, I’m a bit late then. I was going to set you up with someone. Remember? The university junior who’s doing well in a top law firm. How obediently he follows me…?”
Enough with the fishing. He’s starting to brag about his connections again.
Jae In opened her mouth while rolling her eyes.
“Manager, could you please give me that junior’s phone number? I’ll take this chance to meet him today.”
At Jae In’s icy response that she was always known for, her team members’ eyes widened in unison.
Challenging Manager Park’s habitual bragging about connections that had become an expected background music.
“Huh? Oh, no, that… That guy has been really busy lately…”
As expected.
Manager Park, who was previously smiling coolly, suddenly held his stomach and put on a pained expression.
“Oh, what did I eat wrong this morning? My stomach hurts.”

The team members sent praising glances to Jae In as Manager Park disappeared, clutching his healthy stomach.
“If that’s the case, it’s a good thing, right? Ah, feels refreshing. Team Leader, you’re the best!”
Yeon Ji, the youngest member of the team sitting next to her, raised her thumb and whispered.
“Team Leader Seo, but seriously, who are you meeting today? It’s the first time you’ve come with a full makeup. Must be going somewhere nice.”
“Yeah, somewhere nice.”
Jae In nodded, and Yeon Ji’s eyes sparkled.
“Oh my, I’m jealous! Where is it?”
Instead of answering, Jae In smirked and raised one corner of her mouth.
The team leader’s office.
To resign.

Early in the morning, in the meeting room where the Product Planning 1 team of Daesan F&G, a subsidiary of Daesan Group, gathered, the atmosphere was as tense as always.
“Manager Park, it seems like the sales data for convenience food in this new product proposal is not the latest data. What happened?”
“What? Well, you see… I must have done it properly.”
Manager Park stumbled over his words in response to Do Hyuk’s point.
His face turned red and he was in a frenzy, embarrassed to be rebuffed by the young Do Hyuk in front of his subordinates.
“…You must have? Are you admitting that you didn’t personally write it?”
“Ah, Team Leader, that’s absolutely not true! I was busy gathering information on the overseas market, so I asked Kim Ji Hoon to handle the sales data research.”
Do Hyuk coldly struck at the jumping Manager Park.
“Are you trying to shift the responsibility to an intern? Anyway, the ultimate responsibility lies with the person who wrote it. And, the only thing that’s properly done in this proposal is that sales data.”
“….”

Manager Park, his words choked by a sharp rebuke, glanced around as if venting his frustration, causing Ji Hoon’s face to turn pale.
“Wow, if words could take shape, that would definitely be a knife.”
Jae In, who was sitting farthest from Do Hyuk, observed his fierce gaze and silently rolled her tongue.
“If that handsome guy could soften his words a bit, his popularity would explode.”
Already, with his appearance alone, he could conquer everything. Is there even a need for that?
Well, it’s no wonder. With a straight forehead, thick and elongated eyebrows, innocent eyes that never cease to captivate, a wellpraised nose that looks like it was carved by a plastic surgeon, and a sturdy, muscular physique reminiscent of a wild horse.
Team Leader Cha Do Hyuk was the possessor of an outstanding appearance that made the onlookers infinitely generous.
Every movement exuded an extraordinary atmosphere, making one feel as if they were on the set of a magazine photoshoot.
But it wasn’t just about looks. With an IQ of 168, an Ivy League background, and outstanding achievements in overseas branches, he had gained a reputation as an unparalleled figure who secured the position of the youngest team leader at the age of thirtyone.
“What a… severe discrimination.”

“Team Leader Seo?”
Startled by the sound calling her, Jae In responded loudly.
“Yes!”
Yeon Ji, who was sitting across from her, gestured towards the team leader.
Caught up in her own thoughts, she got caught.
“Speak up.”
“Wwhat, what is it?”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
