Seo Ah leaned over Ha Joon, who was lying on the bed, and kissed his wounds.

Bruises covered his entire body. Just recalling how he’d first appeared—completely wrapped in bandages—made her eyes unexpectedly moist.

Seo Ah had been desperately waiting for this moment alone. She wanted to love every part of him—the man who’d thrown himself into danger for her sake.

Just as he’d shown her his love, she wanted to express her own feelings for Ha Joon with her whole body and soul.

“Aren’t you crying again?”

Ha Joon asked, sitting up slightly out of concern, but upon seeing her glistening eyes, he let out a soft sigh.

In response, Seo Ah gently curved her lips into a smile and pressed firmly against his chest.

“I told you not to get up. If you rise even once more, I’ll sleep in a separate room until you’re fully healed.”

Amused by her playful challenge, Ha Joon chuckled softly.

“Yet, even though you don’t exercise, your body’s still the same.”

As Seo Ah ran her fingers over his unchanged, perfectly defined abs, Ha Joon instinctively tensed his muscles.

“I’ve made exercise part of my daily routine since I was five. It’d be embarrassing if a short break made any noticeable difference.”

In truth, as his body began healing slightly, Ha Joon had been doing light exercises whenever Seo Ah wasn’t looking—movements that didn’t require his arms.

Unaware of this, Seo Ah simply found it miraculous. Though she’d seen his body countless times while helping him bathe, under the soft lighting, his form appeared even more strikingly vivid.
