Ha Joon brushed off some moisture from Seo Ah’s hair and then went to the powder room.
It was time to dry her hair.
This time, luckily, he dried it from behind, but Seo Ah, dared not see his reflection in the mirror and still had her eyes tightly closed.
Thanks to that, Ha Joon could observe Seo Ah with ease.
Her small and delicate head seemed like it would hurt even with the slightest pressure, so he handled it with utmost care.
He couldn’t tell if the softness of her hair was tickling his hand or his heart as the moisture gradually dried.
“Now, it seems done.”
“Yeah, it does.”
Ha Joon couldn’t hide his disappointment, but it was time for him to wash and prepare too.
He turned off the dryer, rotated his body, and headed towards the bathroom, but then he paused for a moment when he heard her sweet voice from behind.
“Thank you.”
Ha Joon unknowingly smiled. Seo Ah didn’t see it, but…

While Ha Joon was showering, Seo Ah had a hard time applying makeup with her uncomfortable hand.
Feeling restless, Seo Ah entered the dressing room to change her clothes.
That was because Ha Joon was tidying up the clothes.
Usually, she would start getting ready once Ha Joon left for work, so they had never crossed paths.
“Um, can you go out once you are done?”
“Why do I have to?”
Surprised by the unexpected response, Seo Ah’s eyes widened. If she had known this, she would have changed her clothes when Ha Joon wasn’t there.
She had to quickly change her clothes and tidy up her hair, but she was debating whether to change in another room when Ha Joon blocked her path.
“What’s wrong with a couple? I’m just going to change too.”
“But……”
However, she had never seen him naked, and it felt like Ha Joon would blatantly look at her. It was too embarrassing!
“Mo, move. I don’t have time.”
“Hmph.”
Ha Joon chuckled and surprisingly, he obediently left the dressing room. He probably didn’t want to be late. They had to reach the airport on time.
Seo Ah changed her clothes and sat back in front of the vanity.
There was a bit of a trace left by Ha Joon last night, but it should be okay if she covered it with her hair, right? She was overly selfconscious even though no one else would care. It felt like her neck would be completely exposed if the wind blew,

Then,
Ha Joon, who had quietly approached, inserted one hand deep into Seo Ah’s hair and tied a scarf around her neck.
At the sudden intrusion of his big, hot hand, Seo Ah shuddered.
“If someone sees this, they might think I’m trying to eat you up. Can you act affectionate if you get surprised by something like this?”
Ha Joon spoke in a low voice while finishing tying the scarf.
“……You seem to be very experienced.”
There must be a reason. The reason why Ha Joon obediently moved away when he blocked her path a while ago was because he noticed the trace he had left.
When he was washing her, she had a towel around her neck, and when he was drying her hair, he was standing behind, so he couldn’t see.
He thought about how to hide it and decided that a scarf would be good. He even searched how to tie it because he wanted to do it himself.
Seo Ah, who was unaware of this, wasn’t feeling great. The lord, who was tamed by a servant’s hand, was tying knots so well, could it be the trace of another woman?
The design also matched her clothes. It seemed like he had chosen it more than once or twice.
Looking back, whether it was washing her or drying her hair, it felt like he had done the same for other women. It was awkward and clumsy, but it felt like an act.

With that thought, the heart that was fluttering a while ago suddenly cooled down.
She had been thrilled about going on a trip with Ha Joon for the first time, and even if it was just for show, she was happy to be on a date with him, but it seemed like she had to be coldhearted again.
“Overdoing skinship is too much, we’ll hold hands and maybe put a hand on the shoulder. Don’t keep getting startled. You can also put your arm around me first.”
“I will.”
Ha Joon was puzzled by her sudden cold demeanor.
She had accepted his nocturnal habits last night, and he even washed her this morning, he even thought of the scarf, what else was she dissatisfied with?

Inside the car going to the airport,
Ha Joon suddenly wondered why cats knead. It was because of Seo Ah’s nocturnal habits last night.
Of course, people and cats are different, but it was just simple curiosity.
“Secretary Kim, you raise a cat, right?”
“Yes.”
“Do you know why cats knead?”
Seo Ah, who had been looking out the window, looked alternately at Ha Joon and Seok Hoon with a puzzled expression at Ha Joon’s sudden question.

“It varies. It could be an imprint of their behavior of pressing their mother’s belly when they are nursing. It can also be for creating a comfortable and safe space to sleep. It’s also a behavior females display to attract males.”
Females attracting males?! The flustered Seo Ah turned her gaze back to the window. Seok Hoon’s casual conversation about a potentially embarrassing topic seemed strange.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
