A knock sounded at the door, but Whitney replied in a weak, hoarse voice.

“…I’m fine. Please leave.”

He apologized for failing to realize something so obvious. In fact, aside from Whitney, everyone else seemed accustomed to such circumstances and remained calm—even Violet continued her meal comfortably, making Whitney appear overly sensitive from their perspective.

She couldn’t leave the table early, so she had to endure the discomfort until the end. As a result, she became severely ill and practically fused with the bed.
