Whitney hurriedly left the greenhouse and headed to her room. Approaching the door, she saw Rael waiting and wiped her tears with the back of her hand, trying to compose herself despite trembling fingers.

Rael scolded her for waiting outside her room.

“Where have you been? Melissa said she would be here soon, so wait inside. I’ll prepare some warm tea.”

[I needed some air, so I went outside.]

Whitney showed Rael the note. Rael, uninterested, frowned and pushed Whitney into the room.

“Set it up quickly.”

Rael gestured to a maid, who brought a tray with tea and cookies, setting them on the table.

“Don’t go anywhere else and wait. Understand? Don’t make me look for you again.”

[I’ll wait. But don’t tell Melissa I went out. Don’t get scolded for nothing.]

“Hmph, I wasn’t going to tell her anyway.”

Rael glanced at Whitney and left the room. Once alone, Whitney collapsed into a chair.

‘What should I do now? What can I do…?’

Her throat felt scorched, mouth dry from anxiety, mind in chaos. Whitney shakily poured herself some tea.

‘It’s okay. Pretend nothing happened. Then I’ll meet the King and explain everything.’

But what would change? The king now had only one heir – Karl.

Whitney laughed bitterly. Everything was a well-orchestrated plan.

Where did it go wrong? Perhaps since she discovered and saved Prince Karl. She drank the tea, soothing her throat.

Suddenly, she felt a burning pain throughout her body.

‘Ugh!’

In agony, she fell to the floor, writhing and clutching her chest. Desperately crawling towards the door, she thought, ‘Please, someone… come…’

No sound came despite her attempts to scream. Faintly seeing the door open, she saw Melissa.

“Whitney’s not here. I told her to wait, but she’s nowhere. Can’t be helped.”

Melissa spoke sweetly, then noticed Whitney. Struggling, Whitney grabbed her ankle.

“Just die quietly. There’s no need to feel wronged. It’s not those who take but those who are taken from who are at fault. Who told you to trust people so easily? You never learn, you fool.”

Melissa kicked away Whitney’s hand and stepped on it, laughing.

“Don’t grab my ankle. Everything would have been easier if your father were alive. It’s all your fault. I won’t let you ruin this chance. Just die quietly.”

Whitney watched Melissa’s retreating steps and closed her eyes. Her consciousness faded as she struggled to breathe.

Whitney gasped for air, clutching her throat. The memory of suffocating haunted her, the pain lingering.
Desperately gasping for air, Whitney inhaled a large amount of oxygen.

Without understanding what was happening, she still felt a sharp pain in her body, curling up and clutching her chest, emitting groans. It felt as if all the moisture in her body was drying up.

As the pain gradually subsided, Whitney opened her eyes.

‘What happened…’

She found herself in her own room. Realizing something was amiss, she sat up.

She was certain she had died. She remembered drinking the poisoned tea Melissa had given her, and the last desperate grip on Melissa’s slender ankle.

“……Melissa.”

Her voice came out. Startled, Whitney clutched her throat and cautiously spoke again.

Her voice, unheard for so long, felt foreign yet welcome.

“Melissa. Melissa.”

She clenched her fist. The image of Melissa, who had led her to her death, was clear in her mind. The fading sound of Melissa’s footsteps as she left the dying Whitney echoed faintly.

“Am I really alive?”

The situation seemed absurd, but everything felt too vivid to deny. Whitney cautiously got out of bed and approached the mirror. Upon seeing her reflection, tears welled up.

‘I’m alive. I am… alive. But… something’s off.’

A somewhat youthful face, clear green eyes. Messy hair from waking up, and an old nightgown with frills.

The nightgown she wore was a gift from Melissa on her 19th birthday.

Whitney reached out, touching the reflection in the mirror.

‘It’s not that the poisoning failed. I’ve… returned to the past.’

At the royal banquet where she had saved Prince Karl, she was 21 years old.

Had she somehow come back two years in time?

How could this be possible? The physical sensations were clear, and no more pain was felt.

Despite the unbelievable situation, Whitney remained calm. The events before her death were already incredible enough.

She just wished for something more hopeful. For instance, a time when her father was still alive.

‘Wait, if it’s two years ago… then Prince Cheston is still alive.’

Whitney covered her mouth in shock. Perhaps this was an opportunity given by heaven to rectify her mistakes?

Suddenly the door opened, and Whitney’s gaze turned towards it. Entering without a knock, rudely as always, was none other than Rael.

“Ah! You scared me. What? You’re awake?”

Rael casually entered the room and opened the curtains, causing Whitney to squint at the bright sunlight.

Whitney barely shielded her eyes with her hand.

“Why are you staring blankly? Will you eat separately?”

“……Yes.”

When yandere male lead believes she loves him — but she never did

“How dare you!”

“How dare you make me love you, only to cast me aside as nothing more than a friend?!?

“I will never accept that.”

“I will never let you return to him.”

“Even if I have to burn myself to ashes.”

“Even if I must shatter my purity, my dignity, my very soul.”

“I will never let you escape me!”

This was the first novel that introduced me to the matriarchal genre. I’ve read it three times already!

At first, the male lead despised the female lead. Later, he misunderstood that she liked him, so he condescendingly and reluctantly reciprocated her feelings.

Then, he suddenly discovered that she was kind to everyone in the same way, and there was already someone she cherished in her heart, and that person was not him.

The male lead couldn’t believe it, he became angry and crazy. He was determined to capture her body and heart by any means necessary.

Synopsis:

Want to see how a green tea bitch male lead falls in love with the female lead?

Want to see how he flirtatiously pursues the female lead?

Want to see how he gets slapped in the face repeatedly?

The male lead is a green tea bitch, a poisonous lotus, jealous, ruthless, unscrupulous, with a venomous heart, and he’s also a delusional maniac.

The female lead is righteous, positive energy-filled, kind, a holy mother.

Let’s see how two people with extreme personalities come together~
