A brief silence passed. So Min spoke up.

“What’re you talking about? You’re the one who told me to call you ‘hyung’ because I’m a year younger, back when we first met.”

Jae Rim’s pupils trembled slightly. He couldn’t deny it—the memory of their first meeting was still vivid in his mind.

He’d imagined the furniture delivery person, rumored to be a former judo athlete, as a big-built employee—but instead, a friend appeared who was slightly shorter than him and quite pretty, leaving him secretly flustered.

Feeling guilty about his unfounded prejudice, he’d casually told her to call him “hyung,” but So Min didn’t even smile as she replied,

“Don’t you speak Korean well? When a woman addresses a man older than herself, she calls him ‘oppa,’ not ‘hyung.’ Besides, whether it’s ‘hyung’ or ‘oppa,’ neither feels appropriate when we’re not even close, Mr. Lee Jae Rim.”

Jae Rim stood up slowly and gazed into the distance as he spoke.

“Back then, I was just a naive fool full of prejudice. I’m sorry.”

“Ugh, I almost told you to shut up just now.”

“Didn’t you just say that? It sounded like an insult to me.”

The two began walking side by side, with Aga leading the way.
