“What are you going to do after the broadcast ends?”

For a moment, Eun Su was speechless.

She hadn’t actually thought that far ahead concretely yet.

Why hadn’t she? Only now did she feel belatedly flustered. Yoon Bin’s gaze, patiently waiting for her reply, felt oddly suffocating today.

“The recording’s happening this month, and the broadcast starts in September, right? So it’ll probably stay a hot topic at least until the end of the year. It’s June now… which means we’ll have to keep this secret for at least half a year.”

It was all stuff she already knew, yet hearing it in Yoon Bin’s voice made it sound like an entirely different schedule.

Only then did Eun Su realize—though she wasn’t sure why—that she’d mistakenly assumed it would all be over once the recording finished, meaning she’d only have to endure it for about two more weeks.

At least half a year—and after that…?

She’d thought she’d already cleared her mind and steeled herself pretty well, but suddenly an overwhelming sense of helplessness washed over her.

Noticing Eun Su’s expression hardening visibly, Yoon Bin’s tone softened, as usual.

“Then, around early next year, we can just wait and see how things feel, and announce we’ve broken up. If the show does well—which it probably will—the media will blow up over every little thing. But new stories will quickly bury ours, so don’t worry too much.”

“Uh, yeah.”

Eun Su managed a reply and quickly forced a smile. Yoon Bin reached out, lightly brushed her hair with his fingers, patted her shoulder twice, and then stepped away.

“Since you’ve already decided to go through with it, I won’t say anything more. I just hope it wraps up well, since you’re doing it anyway.”

“Mm. Thanks.”
