True to Juhan’s observation, people were lined up in front of a glittering, rotating carousel to take pictures. It seemed to be a trend – three consecutive couples were seen lifting the woman’s legs high in a dramatic pose.
“I’ve never done something like that even when we were a real couple…”
Eunsoo, unaware, muttered to herself and then quickly closed her mouth. Juhan casually replied,
“We have done it, though not for a photo.”
Eunsoo’s mind flashed back to a similar past moment. The pose was nearly identical, but the atmosphere was far from the pure and fluffy scene in front of the amusement park carousel.
If that moment had been captured in a photo, it would have been classified as something rather explicit. Instead of voicing this, Eunsoo pointed towards a nearby stall.
“I need some sugar. Let’s grab something to eat.”
Soon, Eunsoo and Juhan were sitting side by side on a bench, with Eunsoo holding a colorful character cotton candy and a giant churro.
“This better taste good for what it cost.”
“In places like this, price and taste don’t usually correlate.”

“True… I could have bought a bowl of soup with this money.”
“It’s too sweet.”
“I could go for a double shot Americano right now.”
Despite their grumbling, they devoured their snacks like any other weary adults. They sat for a while, taking in the moment.
Suddenly, a scream echoed not too far away. It was from the towering roller coaster, Blizzard Rail, visible from anywhere in Rotiland, and the screams were from its passengers.
Why would anyone ride that?
Juhan unconsciously swallowed dryly, recalling a terrifying childhood experience when a safety bar on a ride had come loose mid-air. That day, having seen his life flash before his eyes, he had sworn off rides.
“Juhan.”
He turned towards Eunsoo, who had suddenly become serious.
“I have something to confess.”

“Confess?”
Juhan, expecting something trivial like a bet on buying coffee, was taken aback by Eunsoo’s intense gaze and choice of words. Eunsoo hesitated, then finally spoke.
“When you said you disliked amusement rides, I said I did too. That was a lie.”
“What?”
“I just said it because you did.”
“Why would you…”
“Ah! Just leave it at that.”
Eunsoo abruptly ended the conversation, pushing Juhan into silence.
“I was just going to take pictures, but now that I’m here, it looks really fun. I feel like I’ll regret it if I don’t go on at least a few rides…”
As she mumbled, looking away, Eunsoo suddenly stood up.

“Anyway, I’m going to ride just three. I’ll call you later!”
Juhan, left alone, watched as her figure, adorned with a school uniform skirt and a bear headband, fluttered away. He chuckled belatedly and sank into thought.
‘Just leave it at that,’ Eunsoo had said. Juhan felt he understood.
The days of their first love, when everything was awkward.
Even the smallest commonality felt like fate, and the natural notion of ‘we are different’ felt uncomfortably ominous, something they hesitated to voice aloud.
“You like it, so I like it. You hate it, so I hate it.” It was both a lie and the truth. Hidden by the sweet sincerity before our relationship’s expiration, only the bitter falsehoods remained after it faded away.
What other sincere lies had there been?
As Juhan stood up, lost in these thoughts, the uniform and headband felt increasingly embarrassing alone. Eunsoo wouldn’t have hurried off for something tame, so she must have gone for the thrill rides.
Wandering around, Juhan finally spotted Eunsoo at the back of the Viking ride.
“Oh…”
While Eunsoo was enjoying the ride with her arms up, not even holding onto the safety bar, Juhan felt cold sweat in his hands. He almost wanted to scream on her behalf.

So, she originally enjoyed things like this…
Watching the Viking, Juhan’s eyes reflected complex emotions.
“Ahh, that was fun.”
Eunsoo then headed straight for the Blizzard Rail, saving the most thrilling ride for last. The line wasn’t as long as expected. While waiting, she heard a voice.
“Riding alone again?”
Startled, Eunsoo turned to see a man smiling awkwardly.
“I saw you riding the Shark Storm alone. My friends wouldn’t join me either. But then I saw you again on the Viking and thought it was a coincidence to see you here too.”
“Ah…”
Eunsoo shrugged awkwardly. The man quickly added,
“Do you want to ride together?”

Just as Eunsoo hesitated, a large hand landed on her shoulder.
“Sweetheart.”
Surprised, Eunsoo whirled around. Juhan was smiling and hugging her shoulder.
“Sorry for making you wait. The restroom was crowded.”
He addressed her naturally and then glanced at the man beside them. The man stepped back, apologizing for his misunderstanding.
“No harm, just a mistake. Sorry.”
The man quickly left the line. Juhan, removing his hand from Eunsoo’s shoulder, spoke softly,
“Even on a fake date, having another man cut in seems off, doesn’t it?”
“How can I control who sits next to me when I ride alone?”
“You can’t. That’s why you should just ride with me.”

“What?”
Just as shocking as his earlier ‘sweetheart,’ Eunsoo’s eyes widened.
“You’re riding? This?”
Just then, the roller coaster roared overhead, the noise and screams raining down like hail.
Seeing Juhan’s pale face, Eunsoo waved him off,
“Go back, it’s not too late. You can’t leave once you cross that line.”
She pointed to a sign near the stairs warning that it’s difficult to turn back once you ascend. As people began to move, Juhan spoke up.
An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most
One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.
This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:
1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.
It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.
(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)
2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.
The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.
3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.
Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).
Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.
Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.
4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).
5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!
