Opening the back door, which they might not have known was there, a larger backyard appeared compared to the front yard. Uniquely, small cylindrical glass buildings resembling Indian tents were scattered around.
“This is an annex where each team can use it like a detached house. It was completed not long ago and will open next month. Since no one has used it yet, I’ll offer it to you two first.”
“Wow… thank you. To this extent…”
The owner laughed and left after taking their order.
“What is this…”
Ju-han, leaning back with a slightly awkward expression, and Eun-su, without saying a word, exchanged knowing glances.
“That they used that photo like this…”
“It’s awkward. A bit stinging.”
“After the broadcast ends, they’ll probably remove it themselves.”
“Right.”

After settling their somewhat surprised feelings, the two looked around. Since the entire place was made of glass, sitting down allowed them to see the mountainside and rural scenery in the distance.
On the other hand, the interior minimized with simple wooden tables and chairs, enhancing the feeling of being close to nature.
At that moment, the owner brought two drinks and placed them on the table. Then, a staff member followed with a round cream cake.
“We didn’t order this…”
Ju-han said puzzledly. However, the owner smiled and looked at Eun-su.
“Well, enjoy your date.”
“Huh? No…”
Watching the owner quickly move away, Ju-han turned his eyes to Eun-su in a hurry.
Eun-su opened his eyes wide for a moment, then gently closed them.
“I made a reservation.”

“Huh?”
As Eun-su rummaged through his bag, this time, he took out decorative candles shaped like the number 2 and matches.
“Just wanted to try an event once, but a real one, not fake.”
Eun-su hummed as he inserted the candles.
“But, actually, when I first came here, I thought it would be somewhat leisurely, you know? Since the weather is nice, taking some casual pictures outside and having fun would be nice. But now, giving us a separate annex and making it grandiose, it just makes it awkward, preparing only the cake.”
This was secretly prepared by Eun-su without Ju-han’s knowledge. He had called the cafe in advance to ask if it was possible to reserve a good seat and if they could prepare a piece of cake in the size of the whole cake he had eaten before.
“I had a feeling. As soon as they heard the name of the reservation, they seemed so pleased as if we had just been here. Their memory is really good, and they are incredibly kind, but…”
Just before igniting the match, Eun-su, who was embarrassed for no reason, fixed his gaze on the cake and continued with unnecessary words. Then, he glanced up for a moment and met Ju-han’s eyes, who had been looking only at him.
“Thank you.”
Ju-han’s voice seemed to tremble a bit.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed, Eun-su absentmindedly scratched his nose a couple of times.
“But why did you ask for two?”
“Just because. Because it was one before?”
Ju-han chuckled. Eun-su also laughed along.
“In fact, I tried to give various meanings to it, but there wasn’t a specific number that stood out. So, I just chose 2.”
Eun-su drew the match and lit it.
“It also means I entrust the second relationship to go well, you know.”
A small orange flame flickered. Eun-su clasped his hands together and gestured toward Ju-han on the opposite side.
“Let’s make a short wish and blow out the candle at the same time.”
Ju-han nodded. Eun-su closed his eyes.
‘Since I’ve made a difficult decision, let’s try not to regret anything during our time together…’

Then, a sound of blowing air came from the front. When he opened his eyes with a flash, instead of flames, he saw a streak of smoke rising from the candle.
“What’s this? S…”
As they were about to blow it out together, the words he intended to say were not continued.
Ju-han pulled out the extinguished candle, placed it aside, and grabbed the table, rising from his seat.
Then, he leaned down and kissed Eun-su without hesitation.
As expected, lips were easily detached as the place was the place.
But as if smudged with a bit of whipped cream, a lingering sweetness lingered around the lips.
Eun-su’s cheek suddenly blushed.
“Hey, what are you doing outside…!”
“I love you.”

Suddenly, Eun-su felt a pang in his chest.
The fact that in those pupils looking straight at me, I am contained, was surprisingly overwhelming.
It felt like sinking into the end of my head in the warm and honest affection.
This is why events like this are done.
When you see the other person being so happy that they don’t know what to do, it makes me even happier.
Ju-han whispered again.
“I really love you, Eun-su.”
The corners of Eun-su’s mouth proudly lifted.
“I know.”
Slightly reaching out, Eun-su picked up some cream from the cake and dabbed it on Ju-han’s cheek, then smiled.

“Me too. I love you a lot.”
“This turned out well.”
That night, Ju-han and Eun-su were spending a peaceful time in their accommodation.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
