The maids and head maid were anxious, the physician silently focused on his work, and even the knights nervously kept watch over the Grand Duchess.

Having stepped outside under the physician’s strong recommendation to take a walk and move her body, the Grand Duchess appeared outwardly very calm and demure—a model of grace and composure.

“Has His Highness been well lately?”

When Secretary Regen asked cautiously, Sir Renard merely pointed straight ahead instead of answering.

“I mean, apart from how things look on the surface.”

*Do you really think that’s what I was asking?* Regen’s expression clearly said that if he’d merely needed to see for himself, he would have just looked and left—he wouldn’t have bothered asking Sir Renard at all. In response, Sir Renard simply shrugged. *Do you think I know either?*
