Tae Sang quickly turned his head to check on Da Jeong first.
As expected, she looked quite unkempt.
Her large hemline had rolled up above her thighs unknowingly, and her loose neckline was slanted, revealing a dangerously exposed collarbone.
Despite being halfasleep, his body moved faster than ever.
Tae Sang stood squarely in front of Da Jeong, blocking her from view. Now, all that Secretary Kim could see from his angle was a leg sticking out from the side of the sofa.
But even that quickly disappeared, as her slender leg was subtly tucked behind Tae Sang.
“Vi, Vice President… I didn’t see anything.”
Secretary Kim averted his eyes with a cough.
“…I didn’t do anything.”
Tae Sang’s pronunciation was muffled as if he was gritting his teeth. Secretary Kim hastily opened his mouth after unnecessarily checking the time.
“Hmm, I see. I’ve intruded quite a bit. I’ll wait outside.”
Ding.

The clear sound of the doorbell signaled the end of the situation. Da Jeong slowly lifted her head, which she had tucked in as she let out a sigh.
“Who, who was that? The person just now?”
“My secretary. He was with us yesterday.”
“Yesterday…?”
Da Jeong squinted her eyes and murmured. It wasn’t easy to recall the face of someone she had seen briefly while she was not yet fully awake.
After a while, her eyes suddenly opened wide.
“Ah! It was him from yesterday. Oh my, I’m so sorry. He came to pick up the vice president, but I got scared and kicked him out…”
Da Jeong spoke only the conclusion, leaving out the part about treating him like a pervert. She quietly bit her awkwardly clenched fingers.
“Don’t worry about it. I told him to leave because I was uncomfortable.”
“The vice president? Why…? What could have possibly made you uncomfortable.”
“There was something.”
Tae Sang harshly ran his fingers through his hair. Unable to figure out the source of his anger, Da Jeong could only stare at him with wide eyes.
He started to raise his left wrist but soon put it back down. Soon, Tae Sang’s gaze moved through the void to the clock hanging on the living room wall.
“……”
“Vice president…?”
There was a look of puzzlement in his eyes. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed, as if he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
The time he glanced at was half past eight. Even if they left now, would it be too late? With a worried face, Da Jeong slowly rose from her seat.
She regretted not waking him up when he had fallen asleep abruptly in the living room last night.
Last night, Tae Sang had carefully wrapped my ankle with a protective bandage. Only then did he let go of my ankle. He then took a halfempty glass of wine and sat back down on the floor, at a safe distance.

In the awkward atmosphere, we intermittently carried on a conversation until suddenly, his head fell onto my lap.
He’ll wake up after a short nap, I thought. That was my last thought before I fell asleep so quickly that I couldn’t even remember when I had closed my eyes.
Filled with regret, Da Jeong slowly moved her feet. As if to step between the wall and Tae Sang, her dark eyes gently fell down.
“Did you stay up late?”
“No.”
“Then… why?”
“It just felt strange.”
“What did?”
Puzzled by his words, Da Jeong tilted her head. Then, Tae Sang opened his mouth with a faint smile.
“I haven’t slept this long in a while.”
“You only slept for about four hours though?”
“That’s long for me.”
The guilt that had clung to him for a long time was most aggressive late at night, especially when he was asleep.
There’s no way he could have fallen asleep from just two glasses of wine. So, there could only be one cause.
With a bewildered look, Tae Sang stared at Da Jeong. She was still blinking her innocent eyes.
As soon as she opened the guest room door, the mirror on the desk across the room greeted Da Jeong first.
Her reflection in the mirror was passable.
Her eyes seemed slightly swollen but it wasn’t too bad, and her complexion was good despite having tossed and turned in bed.

As she hurried to the bathroom, a thought struck her.
‘Come to think of it……’
She hardly ever fell back asleep after a nightmare. Even when she forced herself to sleep, she would often wake up feeling suffocated and exhausted.
But for some reason, she was able to sleep peacefully as if she had fainted last night. Even though she was curled up in an uncomfortable position and someone was using her lap as a pillow.
‘… I have been very tired lately.’
No matter how much she thought about it, no reasonable explanation came to mind. Da Jeong quickly convinced herself and hurried to get ready.
As the cool water touched her skin, she could feel her lingering sleepiness washing away. After washing her face, Da Jeong neatly folded Tae Sang’s clothes and slipped her legs into her uniform skirt.
Her outfit was a hybrid of her uniform and casual clothes again today. A sigh naturally escaped her, but she had no choice. Da Jeong quickly packed her bag and headed for the living room.
In the kitchen stood Tae Sang, who had already transformed neatly.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
