An Incomplete Divorce (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 21
“I heard it from Madame Lauren. That necklace….”
Annabel’s voice trembled as much as her amber eyes.
Before she could even finish the difficult words she’d hesitated to utter, a knock came at the door, and the secretary entered with tea. A brief silence settled between them. No sooner had the secretary left after completing his errand than Annabel asked,
“What is your relationship with that woman?”
“A merchant’s life depends on trust. It seems I misjudged a person.”
“Then why does Anne Julever have it? You said you lent it to her.”
Her trembling voice began to choke with tears.
“Is this your way of punishing me? Making me into a laughingstock alongside that lowly bastard?”

“You were the one who called for a breakup.”
Staring coldly at Annabel, his expression now icy, the princess’s face turned deathly pale.
“I have no obligation to report my private affairs to a princess.”

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”
